Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [27th - 29th October 2023]

Getting tired of watching a club captained by Bruno.

Vile player, attitude stinks and his epitomises everything wrong with this club. Look at that, kicking at players.

(Along with Antony just now)
If I was picking someone who was captain material Fernandes would be about 11th of 11 on the list!

You want someone to rally the troops, show some leadership. Lead by example. What do you get with him? Spitting his dummy and walking about with a cob on.

That should defo be a red. Pathetic.

Neville is raging with the players here. Even their attempts at fouls.

I dont understand why VAR hasnt looked at it. Should be a 3 game ban for purposefully trying to a injure a player, very obvious and clear as well.

Fernandes is a great captain for when everything is going your way. However the petulance when things aren't, is a terrible quality that sends the wrong message and just doesn't inspire.

AWB is back in training after hamstring.

To be honest ten Hag has to shoulder a lot of blame. He bought Mount as his first signing. A number ten when he already had Fernandes and Eriksen. We messed up getting another CB and bought a goalie we weren't desperate for and has been no better then deGea. Hojlund is the only decent looking signing the manger has made. People will say Martinez but he's 50% injured. He's also been too loyal to players who are out of form. I'm losing faith in him tbh because we see the same old failings that we had under previous managers.
Hojlund hasnt looked good at all and the only thing Martinez does well is smash into people.

Pathetic team. Can't lose well. Supposed to be professional players.

Reminds me of when my team would get kicked crap out of us in league matches because we were more organised (and a bit better) and would win fairly comfortably.

Starting to feel like it's pointless caring when Rashford and Bruno get picked week in, week out despite being utter dross and the absolute representation of everything wrong with this club.

I don’t think Ten Hag has got any ideas on how to turn it around unfortunately. He looks a bit like Ole, in the way that he has his way, and that’s it. If it doesn’t work, he tries the same old subs in the same order and hope for the best

You’ve also got a serious problem when Fernandes is your captain. Shocking attitude.
He's the perfect captain for them, sums up everything about the club in a nutshell.

It's almost like this is your level and always has been. Hell, you've only had 3 managers that have ever won a league title...

Tending to agree. We are less convincing than under Ole. At least Ole realised that this group of players were never going to be able to play the way most other teams do. With shape, endeavour and discipline. Missing a good director of football is actually standing out now as our signings look all over the place despite the sums of money spent and the changing managers just leaves a trail of overpaid players who don't want to work hard enough at the basics. He would do worse than build a team around some of the younger players. Anyway it's only a Sunday night ruined and not the whole weekend #silverlinings

I don't think it is fair to judge him till we at least start to get a team playing together as a normal starting 11. Maguire,Evans and Lindelof as 3 of your back 4 isn't going to do anyone favours. People seem to totally skip past that when looking at our performances.

Unfortunately that isn't going to happen till December/January which might be too late.
