I give up with Amazon and football, I have the same problem every time I try and watch the football on prime on my smart tv. It starts off streaming in low quality fine and then it goes into HD and its fine and then after another 30 seconds it just goes insanely laggy, the picture updating every 5 seconds or so, like its struggling to stream it.

Yeah, wifi tv in front room rubbish, kitchen tv wired to router fine for me.

Thats the thing, my smart tv is wired directly into the router and I have 1gb fibre. I can stream everything else on prime and netflix without issue but try and stream the football on Prime and its Freezing Lag City FC

LOL you said it. I gave up watching the rugby on amazon over wifi, it was a joke. Movies etc fine?

Yup, movies fine, tv shows fine, netflix fine, all other prime video stuff fine. But try and stick the football on my tv and it acts like I am trying to stream in 16k resolution or something. If only I could find some sort of setting in the prime app where I could select the resolution to stream in, maybe that might help as I have no idea what its actually streaming it in, but alas no option appears to exist

@Tombstone Is your TV quite new? I used to have problems on a 2017 Samsung telly.

Its not new, I'm guessing its the tv, its an LG, cant remember when we got it but its probably from around 17/18 as well. Maybe the tv cant cope with the resolution its trying to stream it in or something ( though god knows why the prime app doesnt let you select a res)
 
Lucky for Wilson! Was definitely a pen.

Would be a big statement for Howe if Newcastle can win this with 10 men from the start (almost).
 
Gah! A man up for over a half, against the only team below us in the league, and we only manage to take a point? Not good enough. Still, four games unbeaten after the shocking start we had to the season seems like hope. Norwich might yet stay up.
 
The relegation battle this season is going to be so tight. Other than Norwich, you look at pretty much every side from Villa down and would normally think they'll be ok. I honestly have no idea who'll go down.
