We are without a doubt going down

Its pretty hard to think otherwise. Newcastle have a nightmare December coming up, Leicester, Liverpool, Man City, Man Utd. Hard to see them picking up much out of that lot. The hardest issue they will have next season isnt going to be funds, it will be convincing decent players to join a Championship side rather than a premier league side.

I said to the guys i work with that I still see us having 0 wins come jan 1st.
footballer’s have proven time and again that if you throw enough money at them, they don’t care where they play.
It’s a shame the O&D test doesn’t give a **** when a club is being abused as much as when PIF wanted to buy it, 14 years of neglect, under investment and poor management are what’s going to take us down this season, AS and PIF bought the club (using a house buying analogy) thinking all it needed was a new kitchen and a lick of paint and all would be good, where as in truth the foundations were crumbling, the walls were falling down and the roof had blown off.
Relegation doesn’t really scare me as much as it did any more as with Howe and some money we should come straight back, under Ashley we were going and never coming back.

The only decision the ref has to make is whether the foul has denied a clear and obvious goalscoring opportunity. It doesn't matter how cynical the foul is (unless it's in the box), just whether the attacker would have had a clear chance to score.

Ahh right I see, thanks! Sometimes I make it too obvious that outside of this year I haven't followed the game quite so intensively since the early 00's :p

The relegation battle this season is going to be so tight. Other than Norwich, you look at pretty much every side from Villa down and would normally think they'll be ok. I honestly have no idea who'll go down.

There's no doubt that we're playing the best football we have so far this season under Gerrard but it's still too early to tell whether that will take. I do really like him though. He's decisive and and no nonsense with the press and isn't afraid to make decisions that seem a little baffling to the laymen but obviously make sense for the team. Starting Young last week for instance, you could see straight away that his experience and maturity in the game really pulled us together. I wouldn't be surprised if he did that same for tonight, we're going to need all the help we can get :p

I was just thinking is this a new phenomenon where they stop the game if there's a medical situation and in the old days they just kept going or are people dropping down way more often this year?!

This is becoming a scarily regular occurrence lately.

does make you think about a possible link to the vaccine.

It’s not the first thing I jump to. No idea if the fan was even vaccinated.

It’s like that list going around on social media, something like 40% of them are unvaccinated or were at the time but apparently it’s caused all of them to have issues

Fans have collapsed at games many times before COVID. The cold weather and increased adrenaline certainly doesn’t help people with underlying issues.
