Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [4th - 6th January 2025]

What TAA offers going forward is worth it’s weight in gold.
It was under Klopp, as we had a midfield that was utterly workmanlike and covered him. Under Slot our midfielders actually create and score, so we need less of that from our full backs. Moving Trent back to a regular right back position has helped to add solidity, but his defending will never be better than ok and is often worse.

Arguably under their system a proper right back who bombs up and down actually fits in much better.

He’ll never be the threat of him, theres a reason Real want him and not bradley.
Real rarely need to defend in their league, so its not an issue for them if someone isnt as strong defensively, if Real were in a highly competitive league Trent might well not be their first choice due to his defensive issues.

He didn't stop looking at him, just charged straight into his head. Tough to see how that isn't violent conduct, he wasn't even looking at the ball.
Players back in all the time. Nunez went at it overly hard, but if you start penalising that then Salah gets sent off 5 times a season

Liverpool have offered a huge contract to Trent, no? Slot clearly wants to keep him

All the crap Liverpool fans give us on here day in, day out and they couldn’t beat us today at arguably our lowest ebb in the modern era. Pleased with that performance today. Can’t believe Maguire missed that at the end.
