Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [7th - 9th December 2024]

You don’t normally engage in the salty nonsense, the pressure and sheer exasperation must be really getting to you now.

Well, certain people like to post more about Man Utd than their own team... it needs pointing out sometimes - the hilarious irony of it all.

No pressure or exasperation here. A broken down Rolls-Royce is still a Rolls-Royce. We'll get it running again.

Just caught up on the goals I missed. How on earth did we lose that game. This is the sort of thing we have been doing routinely for the past few seasons I guess. 2 absolutely shocking goals to concede.

Going to be a fun Christmas if he can't get these players to do something before then. Start the new year and the January transfers in a state of desperation, always a recipe for success...

It is really worrying because we have a new manager with a squad of players built around the previous manager. With zero money to change that in the summer let alone in January.

The game yesterday we were terrible regardless of the mistakes. Arsenal were very poor at home last week. We made them look good.

I can totally see us struggling in the week in Europa, getting absolutely battered by City then out of the cup at the hands of Spurs of all clubs.

Just saw the post match talk with BBC, they spent two days practicing only corners after the Arsenal match LOL only to still be utter **** at taking and defending them

I think that says it all about the current situation

I think it's safe to say we're going nowhere fast until players are replaced, think I said in another thread we need £300m to be spent. Probably more if we want to actually win the league. Let's focus on top 10 first though

I don't think it is the players that are bad there is just something rotten about the club.

Martinez was a beast but he looks like a shadow of his former self and you do not just lose ability. I honestly rate Maguire more than him at this present moment.

Amorim just comes across as too nice a chap. Just listen to VDS interview with Rio Ferdinand when they speak about ETH. He was brutal. Look what he did with Ronaldo, benching Rashford for being late, Garnacho with disciplinary actions, took the Captaincy off Maguire etc.

I think being a player at United has for a long time been a Kindergarten when players can do as they please as they know the manager will get it in the end. I am already seeing this with Amorim. We have been no better since he has come in.

Personally whilst Martinez did do well at times I never saw him as amazing, not like some of the beasts we've had in the past.

Maybe but it seems to happen to everyone. De Ligt for example is looking promising. He even came out and did a post match presser the other day. I am sure by the end of the season his head will be turned too.
