News of his departure was first reported by the Athletic., external

A United statement said the decision was made by mutual agreement.

"We would like to thank Dan for his work and support during a transitional period for the club and wish him well for the future," the statement added.

Just seen the Lewis one on MOTD rather than a small phone screen. It's clearly a foul by Lewis.

Chalobah plays the pass, and a second later Lewis comes through him late. Yes, his foot was on the ground so it's a soft yellow, but it's a late tackle after the ball has gone and just because his foot is on the ground that doesn't change the lateness of the tackle

The game yesterday just highlighted the disproportionate reactions Amorim will face at Man Utd. Every single game is being micro-analysed and he hasn't been here for a full month yet - and didn't have most of the players for the first 2 weeks. There was never a scenario where he'd come in and we'd suddenly be great, a new manager bounce for several games would have just papered over the huge cracks in the squad and helped nobody in the long run.

The fact is, Forest are a very good side capable of beating anyone, and we ultimately lost due to goalkeeping errors. We could be a more developed team and still lose against a strong Arsenal side who have been years in the making, I know we've got the mental edge on them historically but the corner routines made the difference. We know most of the players aren't really good enough - but they aren't that bad either. Amorim has a lot of potential and needs time to sort things out, he deserves backing. He's certainly not "too nice" - he looks absolutely raging on the touchline a lot of the time. His calm and pleasant demeanour shouldn't fool people.

It took Pep and Klopp time to build their successful teams. Arteta is about to start his 5th year at Arsenal and he's built a good side, but they're still falling short in the 2 competitions that matter. As long as we're on some sort of upward trajectory, we'll have to persevere. The signings are going to have to be excellent though or it'll be a real struggle... as the Ashworth stuff raises all sorts of questions from that side of things.

This team is lacking confidence, no one seems to want to take a shot on. So much over playing, could be 3-0 up!
