Not sure why Amorim was apologising for playing the low block today (I guess this is what I meant by he should try something different).
It wasn't pretty but it nearly worked, against a team that were scoring for fun in their last match.
I'm with Roy on this one, he should employ the tactic more often, as and when required. Surely everyone would rather win like this (in the short term) rather than lose or draw against other teams.
Sure, once he gets his players and squad then he can play how he wants but until then (years away?) he should not be afraid to repeat what he did today. SAF played on the counter also didn't he, and towards the end (when Scholes (autocorrected to Achilles, lol) left) the performances weren't great were they?
We're miles away from peak United so it's time to knuckle down and grind out wins, else I'm not sure he'll be in a job in 18 months time, surely if he finishes 14th next season they'll boot him out?
