Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [9th - 10th December 2023]

The guy is the fastest Man Utd manager to 50 wins and the fastest Ajax manager to 100 wins too. He isn't the problem. The toxic players need removing from the team and the whole thing needs a massive flush through. Otherwise we are just repeating the same thing over and over.
Yeah exactly, his buys have been superb.

It's not just his fault, but on what grounds should he be given carte blanche to do whatever he wants? He's shown very little to suggest he's a top coach IMO. And I say that as someone who wanted him appointed - but I just don't see it.

We all know performances have been terrible lately but he's just won manager of the month - the stats don't really apply here. Bad performances soon catch up with you.

Just because the Glazers are terrible owners doesn't mean ETH is our saviour.

Ah, what a joyful result. :D

I don’t know what they expect though, look at that team is really bad. You can carry 1 player, maybe even 2 with an immense team but you can’t play Onana, Dalot, Reguilon, Amrabat, Antony and Martial in the same starting 11 and expect to get result. You also got to say playing Shaw CB beside Maguire doesn’t help, I‘d have included Maguire in the first lot but he’s actually been decent since getting back into the team.

Can you imagine the redemption arc. Emery gets sacked from Arsenal. Spends a bit of time in Spain regrouping, wins Villareal first and only trophy, comes back to the Premier League, takes over a relegation team from Slippy G and wins the league the season after.

Hollywood couldn't even make that up.
