Maybe a compromise could be a 2yr contract with option on an additional yr

I don't want to downplay what Slot has done because he had to do it but you've got to remember that last season was very much a new team and there was always going to be a natural progression under Klopp too. In fact if you look at the first side Klopp built, the progression from 17/18 to 18/19 is very similar - in 17/18 we were amazing going forward but were very open at the back too but come 18/19 we became the best defensive side in the League with a much more disciplined midfield.

Maybe but this is the negotiation we're going through. I suspect the structure of the pay is being negotiated too. The club will be more than happy to pay Salah x while he's still performing like this but will want some security so that if in 2-3 years time he's fallen off a cliff, they're not on the hook for £20m per year. Salah/his agent will be wanting the guaranteed money over the incentives though.

arsenal and man city both had some big injury problems

Arsenal should come back on strong again next few games once odegaard up to speed

If liverpool can avoid injuries to players like salah and van D they will win the league

If Pep lost 4 games on the bounce with 1 injury to Rodri, in defence to ETH, he did pretty will with half his squad injured and having no consistent defence for a season. Squad Performance not withstanding of course.

Last season he was missing for 6 (in the league) through injury and the afcon, we won 5. Missed both semi's and the final in the Carabao cup and missed the 1st 3 rounds of the fa cup, won all 6 of those games.

We also didnt stick 10 men behind the ball because he wasnt playing :P

Timber, White, Calafori, Gabriel, Odegaard, Rice, Saka have all missed critical games for us. Did you see the 11 that finished the game against you lot? Add in the red cards and we've had a rough start. I'm hoping now they most are coming back to fitness we can actually start playing some decent football.

Arsenal and there injury cries just pathetic as it’s mostly not true.

City have lost Rodri and no doubt come Jan if he isn’t back will splurge on a replacement
