That's not his job today, Mazaraoui is the one pushing forward and Dalot is forming the back three in possession.
 
Have to say that so far, our movement and energy levels seem to be a bit better than normal today. Players trying to impress the incoming manager?

Its going to take a while for Amorim to get the players moving and playing like he wishes and quick pass and move football requires a lot of drilling to get it right. A pass a couple of foot away from where it needs to be kills momentum. Good to see them trying it though because we are so ponderous and static usually.

We certainly look more solid centrally. Ugarte is adding something for sure.
I'm increasingly concerned with how little Hojlund offers. His touch is poor and he's not physical enough to out wrestle most centre backs. Rashford is also offering next to nothing in this match. His languid approach won't allow him to keep his place with the new boss.

I want to give Højlund a chance under the new manager. It must be difficult getting so few passes through to you and then when you do, you fluff them. Confidence must be low.

It's gonna be interesting to see Rashford under Amorim will he be another manager for some reason not drop him if he consistently underperforms ?
