Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread (and FA Cup) ** spoilers ** [23rd - 27th March 2012]

That doesn't lead your team to defend like they have no limbs, your posts are all very machine like, if situation x had happened then situation y could never have happened. They are responsible to defend and stop goals regardless of whether Suarez got a goal or not, in fact he got us back in this game...

ACtually that's not whatI said at all, all i said was IF he scored which he should have, then you WOULD be at 2-1, and that this normally has a pretty big mental effect on both teams, and quite literally the rest of the game wouldn't have played out identically. Which way it could have gone I don't know, you are the one assuming that the same attack and the same defensive error would have happened either way, which is less likely.

But I was talking about over all, how many freekicks, how many dives, how many bookings, how many extended bans have hurt the team. How many times does he shoot with others in better positions, he's one of(probably the second?) most wasteful shooter on the team, yet always first favours himself to shoot over anyone else. he winds every other fan and opposition player up, and what has he offered, 3 goals 6 assists?

This isn't a 10mil player on a average wage, this is a over 20mil player, on top wage who plays every game, he needs to be reliable, he is anything but reliable.

I also don't remember saying other players haven't messed up goals, most don't mess up goals in as stupid a fashion, and I wasn't in any way refering to one goal he messed up. This is after all, Wigna, at Anfield, this should be a game your main striker should be thinking about being a great chance to get a hattrick. if he's soooo good why has he done so little against such a crap side?

I don't remember saying that Liverpool were good and would have thrashed Wigan had he put that goal in, again I'm talking about overall, he misses great chance after great chance in the entire run of bad games. Liverpool as a whole have been basically no where near good enough, for many reasons. That doesn't distract from the fact I was getting at, there are other 20mil + strikers out there that will both score and assist more......... and have far less negatives to their game, and not consistently get into trouble.

No big teams playing ;)
They're playing tonight in La liga. No big teams exist in the PL anymore :(

This is the kind of post I was talking about Pigeon.
Just ignore it. Cheets regularly gets under the Mancs skin despite making similar posts as they make about other clubs. Don't rise to it and it's a non event :)

Just ignore him. He doesn't like Suarez so he'll look for any excuse, no matter how deluded it is, to blame Suarez for something :o

Please tell me what I blamed Suarez for apart from, screwing up a certain goal with his stupid antics, and , all his other stupid antics all season long. There are players who for 20-25mil, will score a lot more, handball less, won't get banned for 8 games, won't dribble through as many players, and will win you more games..... so why stick with Suarez?

EDIT:- holy crap West Ham have made a comeback, 2-0 down pretty early, awful, awful run of games but back to 2-2 all of a sudden.

I like Martinez so would like to see Wigan win, but Kenny has to make up some 'health reason' for quitting and step aside and let someone else have the money this summer.

He's unsackable and to be honest I wouldn't want to see him sacked. He should do the right thing to allow the club to progress, hell even if they got Rafa back it would be better.

No I am suggesting that there is no excuse for our defenders to actually defend like that regardless what has happened.

Also Suarez is on a reported 60k wages, that isn't really that large, granted his fee was nad he was worth every penny.

Also none of our players have looked good infront of goal other than Gerrard maybe, also if I was him I wouldn't pass to any other player on that team to finish other than Gerrard, which he did for his hat trick and left it for him on another occasion to lash in the same match :)

I do ignore it, I was just pointing out what I meant, just another meaningless comment that should be deleted.

Literally the only positive from this is that Raheem has finally been given some minutes. Play him till the end of the season and simply tear Carroll, Kuyts and Adams contracts up.

Shocking performances of late.

I'm still undecided whether its Dalglishs fault this, I mean these are essentially the same players who have beaten Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and Man City this year, so they are certainly capable. I'm not sure where the problem lies, but I am suspecting its something more than them not being skilled enough or Dalglish picking the wrong team.

He has to take the blame for some things. Continually playing Henderson on the right where he's abysmal and adds nothing to the team, constantly dropping Downing and Carroll, who as much as I dislike, need to develop an understanding if we want to make the most of them and his recent interviews proclaiming he doesn't know how we lost. He's run out of ideas and he won't turn this mess around without replacing the players he bought in the first place.

Edit: And playing Adams anywhere on the pitch, even if it's on his PC in Football manager

If doesn't resign then he should be sacked or is he 'bigger' than the club?

No one is bigger than Liverpool Football Club, he has said it himself, we should have the best of the best in each position and we don't have it in many.

Also how Watson hasn't been sent off for countless cynical fouls is beyond me, not that it would matter to be fair.
