Can you honestly see that happening? He used the youngsters more last season when we were playing well. We're playing worse than I can ever remember and it'll just destroy their confidence.

We're incredibly inconsistent in our performances but our results have been consistently poor. Your memory is incredibly short if this is the worst you can remember; we were consistently poor 18 months ago and faced a realistic chance of being drawn into a relegation fight.

As for whether Sterling etc will get more chances, I hope so but I have no idea whether they will. Regardless of the fact that we've got nothing to play for in the league now, there's still pressure to get results. I can't imagine there will be wholesale changes; at best it will be the odd youngster within an experienced side.

On a more positive note, we've got 42 points so we're at least assured of Premiership football next year

We're lucky the season hasn't just started because we're worse now than at any time under Hodgson. 9 points from 36 is it? That's ****ing scandalous for Liverpool and even worse considering how much money has been wasted.

The Reds have won just five of their 15 home league matches so far this season, which is their fewest in the top-flight at this stage since 1953/1954, when they had also won five.

I'll be interested to see what KD says; the King Kenny illusion has been shattered for me. He makes poor team choices and even worse substitutions.

Terrible performance to go along with a terrible last couple of months in the league. We may as well use our remaining league games to blood the likes of Sterling in preparation for next season.

On a side note, I think some of my fellow 'supporters' would be better off supporting Newcastle. They can get themselves a seat near the dugout and chant "you don't know what you're doing" and not look out of place.

Because some people want Dalglish out?

I'm loving how less than 3 months ago all the Liverpool fans were defending Kenny to the hilt and now the same fans can finally see what everyone else saw and want him out.

Actually it is mainly people comparing him to Hodgson, which is completely retarded.

As I said, the results have been consistently poor however the performances haven't. We were excellent vs Arsenal and for the majority of Wednesday's game. We've also had some good performances and results in the in between our league form.

18 months ago we were 4(?) points off the relegation zone and going backwards. We're now 7th in the league, we've won the League Cup and have a great chance of at least making it to the FA Cup final. The last couple of months have undoubtedly been poor but we have moved forwards, just not as much as we hoped for.

Not that in isolation. The fact that the same people were crying for him to get the job 18 months ago and were on and off calling for Benitez's head during his last year but now talk as if they always wanted him to stay. Those same people will be like vultures trying to get tickets for the FA Cup semi and final if we get there too.

I still don't understand the reference to Newcastle?

Why would anyone want Kenny to go?!?

I don't think any non-Liverpool fans want him to go. :)

He is a tactical dinosaur though, playing five at the back vs Stoke at home and trying to put together a "little and large" strike partnership - that went out of fashion about 15 years ago. He will no doubt point to how much possession and how many shots on target Liverpool had again today but if these chances aren't being taken regularly then you simply have to look at individuals as well as the manager. Not one of Carroll, Suarez and Kuyt is what you would call clinical.

Edit: as Baz says above, Liverpool have looked decent recently but it seems when Dalglish gets the gameplan right he is let down by individuals, and when individuals play well they are let down by the team and tactics.

Very pleased with today's arsenal result and with spurs, Chelsea drawing.

Great to have a settled defence which gives confidence to the players in front.

What's not to understand? For the past 10 years a section of Newcastle fans have been famous for turning on managers as soon as things start going wrong.

Lol.

I want to describe what you are but that would result in a ban.

Suffice to say have a word with yourself and don't drag others team into it because you lot are playing **** and your fans aren't happy.

Why not use your own club as the shining example seeing off Benitez, Hodgson and now after Dalglish in a couple of seasons.

Ps. Not picking a fight with the rest of you pool fans, just wanting to point out how pointless and provocative his post is.
