Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread (and FA Cup) ** spoilers ** [23rd - 27th March 2012]

Explain what I've said there that's defended Dalglish. I'm criticising the fickle nature of some supporters, I've not commented either way on Dalglish.

It was a joke old boy. :p

Most Liverpool fans seem to follow their reasoning though, it isn't just a few.

Lol.

I want to describe what you are but that would result in a ban.

Suffice to say have a word with yourself and don't drag others team into it because you lot are playing **** and your fans aren't happy.

Why not use your own club as the shining example seeing off Benitez, Hodgson and now after Dalglish in a couple of seasons.

Ps. Not picking a fight with the rest of you pool fans, just wanting to point out how pointless and provocative his post is.

Sorry, do you object to me saying that a section of your support has led to countless managers losing their jobs over the last 10 or so years? And if you read my posts, you'll see I have pointed to the very same thing beginning to happen at Liverpool.

I wasn't meant to be provacative so sorry if it came across that way, but you can hardly deny that a section of your support haven't been quick to get on managers backs as soon as things start going wrong.

Fair enough mate but it's the same at every club (barring ManU and Arsenal) I think if you look at the last 10 years Chelsea, Spurs and others have seen off just as many managers (don't know this for a fact but if someone could show how many managers clubs have been through in the last 10 years would be interested to see it)

What an absolute load of tosh. The only ones that I ever remember getting stick were Gullit and Allardyce...and for bloody good reason!

A massive 3 points for Wigan at Anfield, they have been playing very well in the last few weeks and been unlucky with some results(Should have won comfortably against Norwich). Just as people really started to question Martinez, he brings them into a good bit of form which could lead to them somehow avoiding relegation yet again.

Liverpool do have some very decent players but really need a 20-30 goal a season striker, Suarez is very good with the ball but needs someone up there to convert the chances he creates. That should also take the pressure off other players such as Downing, Henderson etc. and let them play better. Liverpool have the advantage of a (usually)fairly solid back 5, which means with the addition of a couple of good attacking players, they can be in the mix again.

Good result for Norwich today, puts us 14 points away from the relegation zone with only 8 games left(Who would have said that at the start of the season!?) Hopefully Lambert realised the error of leaving two of his best players(Holt & Hoolahan) on the bench against Newcastle and won't do that again. Not having Holt for the game against Fulham is going to be difficult, especially as his likely replacement, Steve Morison is playing ***** at the moment..

Agree. As highly as I rate Suarez he's neither a lone striker or a target man. I can understand opposition supporters thinking he's wasteful because of the amount of chances he misses but he's missing them because he's over playing the ball all the time. He rarely gets support so HAS to do everything by himself, usually when surrounded by 3 or 4 defenders. We've desperately needed a finisher all season and with the Carroll/Downing partnership failing to produce that's even more evident now our defence is struggling.

We're desperately missing Agger and Lucas. We've got adequate cover for Johnson in Kelly but Spearing isn't good enough to be playing week in week out, although he's fantastic every now and again and wouldn't be a bad option with better players around him in midfield, and Carragher lost it years ago. Our defence and ability to control games gets noticeably worse when he plays these days :(

Biggest concern for me at the moment is the lack of confidence and passion in our players which is something a Dalglish managed Liverpool team should never have a problem with :(

Did cheeta go today?? Mad result eitherway!

Also Southampton top of the league :D chimbonda the nastiest player in the league, an achievement in a team with diouf!

Some serious great stuff I've been sent from the Red and White Kop (RAWK) forum:

You want to make an argument why Kenny should step down, then fine. But you don't get to tell Kenny to **** off. You simply don't. What that man has done for the club and the city of Liverpool is beyond comprehension of many of the morons on here. He could relegate us every year until we were in the Blue Square whatsit and you still wouldn't have the right to tell him to **** Off.
On the other hand, you can **** right off.

My son was physically sick when I told him the result today.

This is no exaggeration he actually vomited. He feels ill at the thought of losing to Wigan.

Having listened to it on the radio it is clear we were the better team. We need to convert just one or two chances into goals. The balance is right. Its just the luck and results which are alluding us.

If we had played badly I could have accepted defeat to Wigan with dignity. But playing reasonably well as we appeared to do and it really is literally sickening. :(
Wanting Kenny out is one thing, telling him to **** off is another, any of you utter **** realise what this man has done for our club? **** off the lot of you.
Kenny deserves at least one more season. That cannot be even questionned.
All those calling for Kenny's head need to have a word with themselves.

do people seriously think we havent made progress since last season?

We lost 1-0 in the first half.

We drew 1-1 in the second half.

Progress.

what the heck does defoe have to do to get some game time?

the last 10 mins was good entertainment, the rest was forgettable.

we really have lost the fluidiity in our play and bale is shooting at every opportunity. he has now hit the bar 3 games in a row but we shouldn't need to rely on him. adebayor's shot was as weak as the other one chelsea cleared off the line in december. mind the gap? lolz

oh and liverpool :D

^ Good heavens, some people have problems. :p

I assume you're talking about opposition fans that spend more time on other club forums than their own?

And I suspect timebomb wasn't sent anything however if he was, the person that sent that has even bigger problems.

Most of them are probably Everton/United fans though. :D

Very possible but you get your fair share of idiots on club forums so it's hard to know for certain.
