Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread (and FA Cup) ** spoilers ** [23rd - 27th March 2012]

Just hope sideshow not to bad.

We need at lest two new Cb's and hope the rumors are true that pieters (LB) from psv is a done deal been chasing him for a year now.
That frees up Santon/simpson to play rb and cover lb

Good win.

Shame about Colonthough, but even if we drop away who expected us to be in this position after 30 games! Cisse seems a good buy as well.

Cisse seems a good buy? lol bit of an understatement matey? ;)

He lacks composure in front of goal when he has too much time to think, but is an excellent poacher, bit of a polar opposite to Ba.

If there was any doubt that Ba, Cisse and Arfa could play together it was smashed into orbit today they were frighteningly good.

Looking forward to our game tomorrow night (hope that's not me tempting fate). Given we're pretty much 1 game every 7 days now I doubt our starting XI will change too much between now and Sunderland away in May (baring injuries) so I reckon we'll go like this against Fulham;

---------------De Gea---------------
Jones---Evans---Ferdinand---Evra
Valencia---Carrick---Scholes---Young
---------------Rooney
------------------Welbeck

Subs: Amos, Smalling, Rafael, Giggs, Cleverley, Pogba, Hernandez

No doubt they'll be some drama along the way tomorrow night as I highly doubt it'll be as straight forward as it should be  :p

Managed to catch Cissé's second by fluke:

:D

He reminds me so much of Shearer any half chance inside the box his first instinct is to turn and shoot. Pure poacher

He's now the joint quickest player for Newcastle to get to 5 goals alongside Ferdinand 6 games

Huge potential indeed. Seems to squander the chances where he has too much time to think though. :p

Uploaded and updated my original post. Hopefully it won't get taken down again. Must have been a bot?

Apart from Easter period (when I think most clubs have 3 games in 10 days or so), I think you are correct.

Some comments by Fergie suggest Smalling, Pogba and Cleverley will all play tonight - but who knows if its from the start or as subs

Nani and Owen (Owen frighteningly mentioned specifically as having a job to do during the run in) are both meant to start training properly this week so should be ready for Easter 's games if not before.

Personally I would put Smalling as RB, Jones is a little too cavalier lol

CONFIRMED MUFC XI:

de Gea

Rafael
Ferdinand
Evans
Evra

Valencia
Carrick
Giggs
Young

Rooney
Welbeck

SUBS: Amos, Smalling, Jones, Cleverley, Scholes, Berbatov, Hernandez.

Strong line up, no mucking about. Would have preffered Scholes to Giggs but hey ho.

Apparently Fulham only have 320 away fans at the game, no surprise on a monday night.
