Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [10th - 13th March 2012]

Also looooool@Nasri. Enjoy all your money whilst being a big ol' flop in blue. Even if he wins a medal he'd have barely contributed anything toward it.

+1...last i heard he was saying that he didnt go to City for the money but the fact that he would win trophies there. Well the way things are going for the little french merc, he wont be winning any trophies this season:p...thats not to say that City will never win trophies as they will with the financial backing they have. I mean if they dont win the EPL this season, im pretty certain in the summer they will just go out and buy more players:p:D

LOLNasri...should have stayed at Arsenal and developed yourself into a better player;).

I just hope united hit some sort of good form. Seems like most of the season they just been grinding out results and unless they hit some sort form they wont beat city.

Also now pressure is on them (I know they used to it). But United have such a young squad it could get to them.

Funny that we've beatem them twice this season already and got to the top of league by scrapping out results.

City would have done well to win today so I was always pretty confident that today would be a defining day in the title race. Now to go 4 points clear next weekend before City play Chelsea

See that guy at the back against the green stood up? He's always there, never sits down and is always jumping up and trying to kick the ball, hilarious sometimes, dunno if he has a mental problem, always jumping on the spot and kicking his feet out...:D

Alex Ferguson on Paul Pogba on MUTV: "He's still trying to make his mind up but he knows where he should be."

--

@nickcoppack: Paul Pogba has NOT signed a new deal with #mufc. "He's still trying to make up his mind," according to Sir Alex.

So it seems that playing him today was to try and show him what he could be doing and that he is valued. The crowd getting behind him and chanting and cheering for him was good.

He's making more money, and City are FAR more likely to win a bunch of titles, or even a single title in the next 5 years than Arsenal are.

Arsenal fans should stop trying to randomly pretend we have some moral victory over Nasri because he won't win the league title in his first year there, firstly he could win the league title, and Europa cup, secondly, had he stayed he'd be, no better than he is now, and have no chance at either title.

If he went only for the money, going to City is a complete success, if he's gone only for the titles, he has a massively higher chance of winning more and bigger titles at City than at Arsenal.

he was meh at Arsenal, and meh at City, the only thing your post comes across as suggesting is that a player not good enough for City, is plenty good enough for Arsenal........ well done, you're insulting Arsenal, while Nasri laughs as he counts the extra millions in the bank.

Sounds like your average United fan to me ;) :p

Wigan seem to be passing it all around us yet not looking like scoring. And then when we get the ball we can't do much with it as Wigan are pressing us very well..

He's trying to make his mind up?

Back in the day Fergie would have packed his bags for him!!

Blimey, Swansea have ensured a grandstand finish to the season.

Again City were always going to come unstuck sooner or later with their upcoming fixture list;

21 March - Chelsea home
24 March - Stoke away
31 March - Sunderland home
7 April - Arsenal away
9 April - West Brom home
14 April - Norwich away
21 April - Wolves away

Forget today they'll do very well not to drop points in at least 3 more of those games

You can say the same about Manyoo.
Not really, City have 3 games against 'top 5' sides, United have 1.

We'd do well not to drop points at home to Swansea, Everton & Villa? :o

Sorry but you're wrong, if we drop points in those games then City deserve the title. City's away games are tough games, ones they have no right to think they should win, that's clearly not the case with our fixtures.

Wolves & Blackburn could be tough but given just how utterly rubbish Wolves are if we can't beat them then again we don't deserve to win the league.

He said they'd do well not to drop three points in a few of the games,

Wolves v Man Utd - Sun 18 Mar
Man Utd v Fulham - Mon 26 Mar

Wigan v Man Utd - Wed 11 Apr

Man City v Man Utd - Mon 30 Apr
Man Utd v Swansea - Sun 6 May
Sunderland v Man Utd - Sun 13 May

Manyoo would do well not to drop points against Sunderland, Swansea, Everton, Villa, Citeh (and Wolves, if they're allowed to be included in Citeh's "hard list").

Still the derby's the decider.
Let's not generalise this into irrelevance.

We're aware nothing can be taken for granted, but any objective observer would say that City have a more difficult run-in compared to United.
