Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [10th - 14th Feb 2012]

Where does he play though? Granted he's a better player than Evans but until the latter has a real mare I cant see Fergie dropping him. If Smalling is fit and Fergie wants him in the team then it's Rafa's head on the block :(

given its Liverpool - and we cant afford to lose, Smalling is a better bet in either position if you ask me

Nothing against Raf, but Im not sure he is completely match fit after being out for a while and only 1? match. While Smalling missed that game, I would suggest he is probably "carrying" better fitness , plus he is a better defender

Close call though admittedly.

Mind you it wouldnt be beyond SAF to give Evans a rest for the 1st half own goal (although imo he was just unlucky), and play both of the above

Battered? Really? :o

Your standards have really dropped if that's what you'd call a battering; Scholes and Carrick passing the ball side to side, with the odd ball back to your centre backs.

A draw would have been a fair result (not that Im implying football was ever fair lol) - especially how badly Utd have played at Anfield in recent years

Don't try to make out you were joking because Weebull said you had no sense of humour. You know you meant it.

When Weebull starts posting replies longer than 5 words I'll start worrying about what he thinks :p

@ Frank. It's time for Fergie to start trusting Rafa, he was fantastic at both Anfield and Stamford Bridge in recent weeks and really works well with Tony V in attack. Keep Smalling at CB if he's going to play as that's his long term position

Dont disagree with that at all - however if it was a direct choice between Evans and Smalling or Evans and Rafa for this particular match (given it could make or break the rest of the season) I would still choose the former.......while always regretting it wasnt Rafa and Smalling playing together:)

Jesus christ you're boring!!

Well done cheets you live in a dive that is Wigan and get to go to games because Wigan can never sell out their stadium. Well done you

Back on topic. Seeing as its all about Lpool vs United.

Hope its a draw or win to Liverpool but seeing as its at OT cant see Liverpool getting much luck.

I'm assuming this is the best place to put it but I'm off to Elland Road tomorrow for the Leeds/Brighton match and was just wondering where is the best place to park? Would I be best off parking at the city centre and just getting a bus through as I'm going to be in the city from first thing in the morning so no rush to get across or anytihng.

Ta :)
