Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [10th - 14th Feb 2012]

Will there be any cheering at the Liverpool United game this weekend or will it just be a chorus of boo's?

I predict the tiniest incident in the game will result in 30 pages on the forum. 1-0 Liverpool Suarez to score the winner from the spot after a Gerrard dive. Wouldn't that be perfect ;)

If United cut out the defensive complacency and maintain their good attacking play from the Chelsea game, I see no reason why they can't beat Liverpool. Could beat them comfortably in fact if things go their way.

I'm assuming this is the best place to put it but I'm off to Elland Road tomorrow for the Leeds/Brighton match and was just wondering where is the best place to park? Would I be best off parking at the city centre and just getting a bus through as I'm going to be in the city from first thing in the morning so no rush to get across or anytihng.

Ta :)

I can't remember where we parked when I went to Elland Road. If you're not in any rush pre / post game then the City centre parking / bus route sounds like a good plan.

It's what I do when I go to old Trafford (Unless I'm in a box), I park at the Trafford Centre and walk up or hop on a bus. There's also a pub quite near by that you can park at as long as you get there early.

like the penalty given to Newcastle at OT earlier this season you mean?(or numerous others)

Deary me take a joke.
I was at that game, probably the only person sitting down when Hernandez scored until I heard offside :D

What other decisions have gone against you at OT this season out of curiosity.

Sir Alex's press conference at Carrington has just finished. Here are the main points:

* Tom Cleverley will be involved in some capacity against Liverpool tomorrow. "He's training well at the moment."

* Chris Smalling could also be available, although no other players are expected to return.

* The Liverpool game will come too soon for Phil Jones but Sir Alex says he'll take the young defender to Holland next week for the Europa League tie against Ajax.

* On Saturday's Liverpool match: "We expect a hard game tomorrow but I'm just looking for the sort of performance we've been showing recently. That should help us."

The information on injuries is near to pointless though due to the fact Fergie always tells porkies about it these days :p

Hopefully a small appearance for Tom, it will be good to see him back for sure.

Good to hear about Cleverley, just hope he can stay fit now.

Not sure what that means for Nani, he's still out I assume?

I'm quite looking forward to the Europa match actually, haven't seen Ajax play in ages.

I'd imagine Nani is still out or will just pop up like Young did, as Young was still considered to be probably out last weekend and then just appeared.

I have a feeling Nani is out for a few weeks - but totally take the above points abotu SAF telling porkies about injuries / players just appearing /starting out of nowhere

Glad to hear / maybe confirm (after the above lol) that Smalling could play some part tomorrow and that Jones might play during the week. (and of course Cleverley who has been seriously missed for the last 3 months or so)

Big game for tottenham tomorrow, its their easiest fixture (on papaer, i know we dont play on paper) for a while.

Vital that spurs get 3 points here. I like the look of that Papis Cisse and him and Demba Ba could be very useufl together.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

I know... I feel all dirty (and not in a sexy way...)

Game is off, so it looks like Millwall it is - I can't bring myself to go to Orient or Charlton. Not sure whether to sit with Millwall or the Derby fans.

CAFC are away tomorrow, would have suggested them :(

You have to sit with the Derby fans! No self respecting football fan should sit with the Millwall fans... :p

Though Orient are hosting Huddersfield which will be a really good game! You'd get to see Jordan Rhodes in his prime!

Poor record at WHL in recent years but VDV still out with Kaboul and Lennon taking late fitness tests gives us a slight boost.

High scoring game no doubt. Their midfield has the potential to rip us apart.

As quickly as Young Popped up, I hope he quickly pops off. Not been impressed with him since his move to us. Draw tomorrow I think.

Nani's out for tomorrow, he confirmed it on his twitter, the clubs website stated he might be fit for Ajax

Hadn't realised CAFC were away. I've been to The Valley twice this season already, I'm enthusiastic not to go back again.

Having seen Mr Rhodes in his prime when he was on loan to us a few years ago (and subsequently watching him taking us apart every time we play Huddlesfield) I'd prefer to steer well clear. ;)

Will be sitting with the Millwall fans tomorrow. Not been to The New Den before, I've got a lot of time for Kenny Jacket and I'm a big fan of quite a few of the Millwall players (James Henry, Trotter, etc.).

All this may change though. It's been weeks since I've gone away, so Yoevil and Bristol Rovers are both looking appealing at the moment!

Should be a cracking game down the liberty today, Paul lambert has done great with Norwich and we're good at home, so expect a few goals.

Kermit has said 2-0 Swansea, so I'm going for that.

Might even take the camera :)

Hoping Wednesday can keep the pressure on. Should be able to come away with three points.

It's all about next weekend
