Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [10th - 14th Feb 2012]

atleast we try and put on a show. villa, i can't even describe what they do other than turn up. your best player is a spurs reject.

Some clubs don't have the disposable income others do, they work with what they've got. It's a pretty bad situation at AV if they're playing Heskey but you could show some more respect to Villa supporters.

Plus at least they didn't get drubbed 5-1 ;)

Shay Given is a Spurs reject?

Need I remind you of Spurs vs Liverpool last week what a borefest that was!

Oh thanks Andybtsn forgot about that 5-1 pasting they got...

was far from a good game when we went to anfield but atleast we both gave each other a game

you cannot honestly have no problem with what mcleish is doing to you formation, tactic and player wise?

you've got some decent players, you should be performing better but mcleish is making a right dogs dinner of it.

Of course I have a problem with Mcleish I didn't want him at Villa in the first place & I still maintain we will get relegated under him..

But this is what happens when you sell your best players & replace them with crap, youth & lazy players.

But to put the whole blame on Mcleish is a bit wrong, The board have been pathetic, The players have been pathetic, The whole scene at VP has been pathetic.

We were playing at least 3 players out of position today that is mcleish's fault.

The bottom five are starting to be cut adrift, seven points plus GD (so in reality eight points) separates Villa in 15th and QPR in 16th.

I think Villa will be safe, but as for who will go down out of the other five, I have no clue, this season has been so unpredictable so far.

Bye bye mick I reckon!

I hope this statement is right, as a Wolves fan today we were crap!

I did go to the game, but we were shockingly poor. The first issue was the formation. Three forwards for Wolves? We never play that! Mick tried to put a show on for us fans. Second issue; I think he forgot to play any midfielders, nobody in midfield wanted the ball, when our back four got possesion none of the midfielders even tried to move about to receive a pass. The defense just had to stand their with no options to pass the god damn ball. Only when Millijas came on did we start to run about a bit and try to get into space etc, however it was too little too late. We certainly are missing Henry in midfield to get play going.

When the fourth goal went in for the tesco carrier bags, I left the ground, 10 mins to go, I had had enough. We just didn't try to play.

After the game the fans made it known to the club that Mick needs to go, we all stayed for over an hour protesting outside the ground. Todays game was just embarrasing.

Oh well, moral of the story. I'm a wolves fan through and through, I will go to the games whether we are playing Man Utd in the Premiership or the likes of Peterborough in Div 2.

After the game the police presence was unreal too, I have never seen so many of the 50 in one place. The protest was peaceful though at least.

It's nice to see those fans still exist. I try to get to as many United games as possible, but with being in N.I it isn't the easiest. If I lived on the mainland I'd be there much more often, though I still manage 5-6 games a year which isn't bad.

There are too many "fans" that have never even been to their teams home ground!

Aye, I get to around 10-12 home games a season typically. I miss a few due to a Saturday rota at OcUK. I also now live in Newcastle (1 mile from OcUK) but I still make the trip of 50 miles almost every game I can :)

Rock Paper, Scissors

That is supposed to mean what?

You really can't tell the difference between the Football Association & The Crown Prosecution Service?

Edit:- Wow a lot of police up at Wolvo, Seems you guys aren't happy at all! Mind you Wolves looked very poor for all but 10mins of the game :( Sad to see it to be honest.

Think that is a bit harsh on people who haven't been to their teams home ground, I have plenty of friends in N.I. who financially can't get there, it doesn't make them any less of a fan what so ever.
