Sorry DM but to even bother to play in that atmosphere is a credit to him. Modric and Tevez refuse to play for their own financial gains but at least he bothered to come out and try and let the football do the talking. The ball kicking I am not so sure about but to not have lost his cool with the baiting and the blatant bad tackles was something.
My major problem with the entire incident is that fans now think its ok to return to the racist chants etc. Just because 2 idiots are good at football but not good at thinking does not mean racism is ok.
What bad tackles? Also, it's a credit that he didn't lose his cool, even though he did and kicked the ball at the bench for absolutely no reason.
As for bothering to play in that atmosphere, firstly he created that atmosphere, secondly he made it worse before it started after making promises to his manager he wouldn't and thirdly, Tevez was proven by City's OWN investigation and EVERYONE saying that he did not refuse to play, if you want to put it that way refused to warm up..... for the second time, another way of putting it is when asked to warm up again he said he'd already warmed up and Mancini went mental over nothing. For financial gain he, has turned down his wages when all he had to do was train lightly and never actually play, never refused to play and said he wanted to leave and played and scored many times between that and the incident.
Honestly, Liverpool should simply not have played him and made it easier all around, lots of players have been "protected" in the same way. I give him zero credit for being asked to play in a game when the fans will be against him. As suggested he's been known as a trouble maker and like Barton/Diouf and lots of other players get a crapload of grief(deservedly) from the opposing fans. He'll get stick where ever he goes, its a (nasty and unrequired, dimwitted fans being stupid) part of his job that many players have put up with for decades.
I mean, Campbell for Arsenal going to WHL, depending on the reason the amount of utter bile thrown at players is disgusting. But, like it or not its pretty normal, Suarez has grown himself a reputation and will get stick in any game, he got it in holland, at the world cup, supposedly earlier in his career and he'll get it at future games. Some players bring it on themselves, others don't, I have zero sympathy for Suarez as he's entirely put himself in this position.
Mr Pink, boo hoo, yes I do hate Suarez, that post was based on a new article and brought up a lot of points that haven't been discussed yet, but ignore it all, I couldn't care less.
