Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [10th - 14th February 2017]

Leicester are in serious trouble. Hull and Swansea seem to have turned it around, and they're in free fall.

Sunderland, Leicester and Palace for the drop.

Not sure if Leicester will get relegated, I have a feeling that like Sunderland they will survive come the last day.

But then what do I know lol, I had a bet with my mate last yr that Arsenal would walk the title lol.

From my brief look at it yesterday it looks like the next few games actually work (slightly) in Leicester's favour

Their CL draw is vs Sevilla who are doing really well in La Liga and have been a very good european team for the last few years (winning Europa 3 seasons in a row), and two fo the three EPL fixtures either side of CL tie are against Liverpool and Arsenal....so I doubt LCFC were counting on points from either of those. The other fixture is vs WHU away, and while they have picked up a bit lately West Ham's home results havent been brilliant since moving.

I cant even see many supporters complaining if they go out of the FAC to Milwall away either, if it means a proper fight for staying in the EPL.

March and april look as though there could be quite a few "6 pointers" for Leicester, so a cup really isnt worth fighting for at this point (as its surely come down to a choice between the FAC and trying to stay in the EPL)

If you said to Leicester fans they would be champions then be relegated, they'd probably take it. Shame that Leicester fan isn't about to ask :D

Of course they would - but Im also sure that given a choice of CL and FACup fight and certain relegation or forgetting about the cups entirely and at least trying to stay in the EPL Leiecester fans would choose the latter as well:D

Were Leicester really that good last season? Were everyone else really that bad last season? Such a freak season lol

They were excellent last season. They only lost 2 games and you don't do that from the other 19 teams all being rubbish.

There were the odd under-performers among the usual candidates, but honestly Leicester were that good.

I know one man doesn't make a team, but Kante is as close to that as you get. The man is a machine.

Kante has been immense for the last 18 months no doubt about it, but its equally about how good Vardy and Mahrez in attack last season and bang average this season as well.

Mahrez had the opportunity to go to arsenal..
Hasn't every player in existence had the chance? :p:D Leicester's season is kind of like last where you think that they surely can't keep this form up for the season and yet they keep surprising you.

Arsenal were so lucky against Hull. Shouldn't have had their first goal, should have had gibbs sent off and Hull didn't put away any of their chances.

As I said at the time its the kind of game Arsenal have gotten away with that has allowed the "always in the top 4" to continue :)

Im a little thankful that Arsenal and City dont play the extra EPL game while Utd (and S'oton) play the EFL final, admittedly Spurs and Liverpool have a chance of gaining ground in race for top 4 but the table will look a little more "even".

Saying that Im sure Southampton will be able to play that EPL game vs Arsenal a lot sooner than we will get a chance to meet City, I can see the latter being in the last 3- 4 weeks of the season , and the home stretch being horrendous for us.

I'd take Champions, then relegation along with Champs League & FA cup winners :D

On a more serious note, something needs to change, either the manager goes or he starts dropping players like Drinkwater and Mahrez.

How are Man City managing with only one central midfielder, who'll be playing in defence?

Sooner or later they'll get exposed again and start losing..

They should have had the first goal. Just because people, inc myself, dont agree with it doesnt make it incorrect.

it was blatant hand ball of course it should have been chalked off

According to the laws of the game it wasnt. He didnt intentionally put his hand there nor was it unnatural.

So no, it wasnt a blatant hand ball.

Good game this, i'm normally the first to jump on the ref's back but he's had a good game thus far! Was a good spot for the King pullback on Stones.
