Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [10th - 14th January 2014]

Rooneys been sent to the US for warm weather recuperation apparently.

RvP is training and should be back for the Chelsea game (kind of ****es on the "OMGZ Moyes rushing him back" crowd)

I've turned down Swansea and Sunderland tickets because I really can't be arsed to go :/

Things get SLIGHTLY rough for Utd fans and they can't even be arsed to go to games anymore :D

Who are you?

He's Frodo, obviously :p

Where have you come from?

The Shire.

Why haven't we seen you before?

Hobbits are only small, they're easy to miss.

What exactly do you know about travel to and from games?

He's been to Mordor and back, I'm sure he's used to travelling.

Sorry, been watching LOTR recently :D

Anyyway, back on topic, hopefully 3 points for us at home to Norwich. We should've beaten them away at the start of the season, but if we put in a good performance I'm sure we'll do well. Injury concerns over Baines, Jags and Distin, but even if all 3 are out I'm confident we'll still have more than enough for Norwich to deal with, especially at home.

With Colo, Santon and Debuchy all out, and Yanga no doubt switching to RB, Taylor is gonna start. I'm not sure I'm ready to witness him against City again so soon. :(

Leicester were relentless tonight, similar team to last season but completely different play style. Fair play to Leicester for not giving Pearson the boot where a lot of clubs would have a number of times in his tenure as manager. We have them next weekend :(

Very surprised by Leicester. They were incredibly average when we played them, and offered nothing, whereas Derby were the best team I have seen this season by far....Pearson is the most uninspiring manager I can think of(bar Megson), but they stuck with him, and surely he can't mess it up this year like he did last year!

Got Birmingham tomorrow...a team I have never seen us beat. In fact, I was reading earlier that the previous 8 games between us have been won by the away team....the lasy home win coming in 1988!

Chelsea team: Cech; Azpilicueta, Cahill, Terry (c), Cole; Ramires, David Luiz; Willian, Oscar, Hazard; Torres

Subs: Schwarzer, Bertrand, Mikel, Essien, Schurrle, Mata, Eto'o.
