Bar a few stand out performances from both teams that was as much about defensive errors as it was for attacking genius.

Thought Suarez and Sterling were fantastic for us, as was Sturridge when he came on, but everyone else was average to extremely poor. Not a great tactical decision to switch Lucas and Gerrard from Rodgers either.

Regardless of performance, delighted to get the win at Stoke and keep the pressure on the big boys.

Not sure Stoke have improved at all since last season and they're 7 points adrift of their tally last season as well.

Brilliant game but our attack is bailing us out of some horrific defending. Mignolet seems to be getting worse not better.

Fully agree I'd also give sterling motm too, countinho looks to have lost some confidence too, chissokho look very near getting a 2nd yellow towards end which would have been bad but he didn't so yay. Glad to see sas click straight back into the game

Gerrard just said Rodgers will be playing him as the holding midfielder from now on...

Lack of faith in Lucas or shoehorning Gerrard in to the team? Either way it's very concerning.
