Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [10th - 14th March 2018]

Front 3 were all atrocious, honestly Salah literally hugged that right hand side of the box and tried to cut back in every time. Painfully predictable and playing how we did vs Porto set us up for this result
I agree with this. Lost your momentum which is very difficult to switch back on .

Only now (after the three points today ) am I confident we are far enough ahead of Chelsea - admittedly you might have a better run in - I haven't looked at yours, I know Utd's games every single one could be ****** awkward to say the least

Our run in is pretty decent and I dont feel that Chelsea have the consistency of play this year (1 league win in their last 5) to catch

Lost the game in the first half but could have ended up getting something from it in the end. Shocking performance from the officials - nailed on pen when Young's all over Salah, possibly a 2nd for the hand ball and a clear red card for Valencia not given.

From an early camera angle (that I haven't seen repeated) it suggested the Young "penalty" actually started outside the box - and the replays I saw the foul is already started from the beginning of the replay
Valencia should probably have got a red - but Lovren should have got two yellows at least (one for the nasty elbow against the back of McTominay's neck which looked nasty and completely in-necessary)

Was never a hand ball, as his arm wasn't in an in-natural position given he was still getting in position- ie wasn't standing still - and his arm didn't move towards the ball. Ball to arm not arm to ball

Whether the Young challenge started outside the box, if it continues into the box which it did, then it's a penalty. You can't simply say Lovren should have been sent off either as had he been booked earlier (the elbow wasn't an elbow anyway) then you can't know whether he'd have made the 2nd challenge on Sanchez. That's why I didn't say Rashford should have been sent off - he should have been booked for his celebration prior to getting his yellow - although he could have easily got a 2nd booking after that.

Where it starts is irrelevant, if it carries on into the box its a penalty.

What? They played ambitiously first half granted they had like 3 shots or whatever lol.

Very lucky but not really negative

Rubbish. Was standard Utd the fans have been moaning about all season. :)

Lots of long ball and park the bus.

Liverpool were headless and Man Utd were clinical on 2 chances.

We were very good overall in the first half and very clinical.

Liverpool had a lot more attacking moves but didn’t work De Gea once (from inside the box at least)...

Doesn’t matter though, I’d rather have less shots and win. :p
