Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [10th - 14th March 2018]

This has been a great game to be fair.

Really? Two **** teams going forward and mistakes got all three goals lol

Manu fed off that first mistake though and played ambitiously. I can see how you might think that was great given our last 3 meetings

Thank god for that.

We were better in the first half, Liverpool better in the second. Mourinho managed to lock the game down with his changes, thankfully.

Pretty decent game. Great result

Was a good watch that, some shocking play mixed in with some entertaining stuff. Good start to the days footy.

Bailly was brilliant today and without him I think we might have struggled. At the end there he put in some vital tackles. That being said, he did score an OG...

Meh, decent second half but that was mainly due to the fact Mourinho settled for 2-0 and got them to sit back and defend deep.

Lovren and TAA make far too many mistakes (it's no surprise whoever plays next to Lovren struggles), Mane was abysmal but our midfield yet again offered no protection to the back four.

Deserved win for United, Mourinho got the better of Klopp today.

Lost the game in the first half but could have ended up getting something from it in the end. Shocking performance from the officials - nailed on pen when Young's all over Salah, possibly a 2nd for the hand ball and a clear red card for Valencia not given.

Good game, Mane had an off day and wasted and broke up too many attacks, cant say that Im bothered much by the result, still going to get top 4 imo, would have been mainly for bragging rights and I havent needed to brag since the playground when I was a child. We've been in such good form lately that I would rather this result now to keep our feet on the ground than a loss in the champions league from overconfidence.

hard fought win, but well deserved -all rise King Rashford

Did Liverpool actually challenge De Gea at all - there were a few shots but very easily saved right into the chest

Huge amount of corners conceded many were nerve wracking- the whole team worked really hard

Only now (after the three points today ) am I confident we are far enough ahead of Chelsea - admittedly you might have a better run in - I haven't looked at yours, I know Utd's games every single one could be ****** awkward to say the least

At least we tried, that’s what I mean, it was action filled from us.

Young and Salah are both fighting for the ball. Not a penalty otherwise you have to tell defenders they can't do anything in the box if an attacker is near. Salah didn't complain. Penalty shout was very dubious as he didn't have any time to move it and it wasn't in an un-natural position and he didn't move it. 3 Liverpool players gave away fouls for high boots, should they have been sent off too?

Front 3 were all atrocious, honestly Salah literally hugged that right hand side of the box and tried to cut back in every time. Painfully predictable and playing how we did vs Porto set us up for this result

Young and Salah were fighting for the ball? Salah was in front of Young and Young was grabbing him. I'm not sure in what world that's not a foul. The handball is debatable, the fact that he was so far away from the ball is what meant it could have been given.

And you're not seriously suggesting Valencia's was simply a high boot? He's flown in, studs up at chest height.

edit: as for "Salah didn't complain" - it wouldn't be the first time Salah's been fouled and stayed up and it's cost us. We should have had a pen at Anfield vs Chelsea and Otamendi should have been sent off away to City had Salah gone down when being fouled.
