Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [11 - 14th May 2013]

Well, it's been a ******* shambles of a season but at least we are staying up. We can at least be thankful for that.

However I think this season has highlighted two things. Firstly Pardèú is a ******* muppet. He has a plan A but that's it. He can't use subs, he can't keep a squad happy and he certainly can't manage any form of personality.

Secondly, whilst Cashleys plan has merit from a financial perspective once again it has been clearly highlighted that you need to speculate to accumulate. Cashley being tight in the summer caused us so much **** that it is a large reason why we are where we are. Additionally whilst his plan of buy cheap sell high is a good business plan it had two flaws. Firstly players lose interest when they decide its time to move on (Cabaye/Simpson/Colo) secondly having a load of foreigners who are their to further career is not a good thing if you are struggling. The team needs a core if British or you are ******.

All said and done we are staying up though, a lot of problems to address but I doubt we will. We are Newcastle, a walking joke of a club so roll on next years drama, mayhem and idiocy :p

Every single club he is at he always goes on about needing '3 or 4 new faces' and usually takes them to verge of bankruptcy.

Di Canio is also useless, should be amusing watching him trying to run a full premiership campaign next year if they manage to stay up :p

He'll go for less than £10 million imo, we don't want him and he doesn't suit our new style of football. Was talk of us being after Ben Arfa, perhaps a swap deal will be on the cards.

Had Newcastle gone down then West Ham would have had us over a barrel. Hopefully with a bit of competition we might get closer to £15m for him now.
 
I think Rodgers will want him out as soon as possible regardless of the money we get. We don't want to keep hold of him waiting for an offer that probably won't come when we can get someone in early and have the whole summer to work with him.

He'll go but I don't think Rodgers will have the final say regarding how much we accept and when we accept any bid.

Hopefully a quick deal can be done with somebody but with clubs knowing we want rid, I can see a summer of brinkmanship and a late sale.

Thankfully you aren't Brendan so I can point this out. Ben Arfa is another waste of space. Over weight and only interested when it suits (plus very injury prone) he's a luxury player who can win a game but no one you would want to rely on.

If we could get decent money for him I would pack his bags myself.... I warned you :p:D
