Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [11th April - 16th April 2014]

We actually have 2 winnable games left, maybe 3.

Saints at home (but we're **** at home), Swansea away and Hull at home. We should really take a minimum of 2 points from those 3. That'd mean Norwich need 5 points against United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal.

I see it like this:

WBA 40
Swansea 38
Fulham 37
Villa 36
Norwich 33
Cardiff 33
Sunderland 29

So 7 straight wins, beyond anything Moyes achieved in 11 years..... puts pressure on Arsenal which won't help Arsenal tonight.

I was literally just saying at least Spurs lost...... then they score. Please don't let them win, I'd prefer a bigger gap to Spurs because a couple bad results for us and Spurs really are very close to Arsenal as well.

Sorry. But it was a tad foolish to include us when our keeper and best striker are injured.

Plus people should know how charitable we are to teams on poor runs by now.

I wouldn't say it's foolish betting on the home team against Cardiff.

One of Stockdale's fantastic saves today:

Should be an interesting run-in for 4th/5th. Everton have the hardest run-in by far and apart from Utd-Everton none of the teams play each other. Think most likely it'll end up Arsenal, Everton, Man Utd, Spurs, especially if Spurs keep shipping goals like they've been doing.

Arsenal : West Ham (h), Hull (a), Newcastle (h), West Brom (h), Norwich (a)
Spurs : Fulham (h), Stoke (a), West Ham (a), Villa (h)
Everton : Palace (h), Man Utd (h), Southampton (a), Man City (h), Hull (a)
Man Utd : Everton (a), Norwich (h), Sunderland (h), Hull (h), Southampton (a)

I don't see Evertons run is as being far harder. We only have to play one top club City the rest are mid table on current form. Only two of them are away and we will beat City. It's going to be the season where we beat City and help hand the title to Liverpool.

Nice to see some goals for a change today!

In to the play-offs now, for a while at least. We don't have the worst run-in tbh, but you can never tell with the championship. We seem to have hit form at the right time though, and have home games against 2 relegation teams left...Still need Reading to drop a few points though(playing Leicester on Monday, hope they have recovered by now).

PS. Jesse Lingard was different class today(finally playing in his right position). Would love another loan next year!
