Man United 1-0 Liverpool HT

Our worst performance of the season so far and we're very lucky not to have conceded more than one goal. Rodgers needs to sort this midfield out because Allen, Lucas and Gerrard isn't working. We don't have the legs or movement to break out and start attacks or track the runners when United attack. Really poor decision to drop Henderson from Rodgers.
 
Suarez is head and shoulders better than anyone on our team, his effort and commitment is fantastic. It's such a shame he's playing on his own, nothing going on behind him.

We'll be incredibly lucky to keep him in the summer.
 
Excellent first half performance, Cleverley, Carrick and Kagawa in the middle have really controlled the midfield. We might regret not getting another goal though, considering the level of control we had we should be two up. Welbeck has played well...except where it matters. He's a striker with no composure and has mucked up 2/3 good chances by either making the wrong decision or just rushing things.
 
RvP could have had a hatrick , not to mention the other chances.

I have a horrid feeling Utd are going to regret those missed chances

Welbeck's major problems imo - especially decision making which he always seems to fluff

I can appreciate he is a striker, so he needs to shoot - but when there is a player in a much better position (especially in a game which can still go either way), the shot is usually slashed well wide

Midfield has been none existent for us, all 3 haven't played well & Gerrard needs to stop with the hollywood balls. 3 subs are needed with Allen, Downing and Sterling coming off and Henderson, Sturrudge and Borini on. Won't happen though, in fact Allen will stay on, not only becuause he is the managers favourite but becuase Lucas has got the yellow now.

this is very true. the blokes a **** but liverpool would be in deep deep trouble without him.

i wouldn't be surprised if he is subject to a big money move in the summer. can't knock his effort at all. imagine him tevez and aguero at city? :eek:

Only by name, Lucas still clearly not back to his best, Gerrard can't really do much 3v1.

Can't really comment on front 3, had **** all they can do, surrounded by 3 of your players.

No confidence=no result at OT, deservedly getting beat, hope it ain't a thrashing now.
 
Good first half but extremely frustrating watching welbeck fluff some good chances. His effort and mentality have been good but he lacks composure and he seriously needs to work on his finishing.

Hope we don't regret the missed chances.
