Thats not a very good metric at all. If you have a great defence, the chances that strikers get are usually of a much lower quality. With a complete train wreck of a defence that United have had for most of the season the chances teams get are a lot more clear cut and easy to finish.

Can't defend, can't attack. Lose midweek and Rodgers is done for. He's completely destroyed everything he built over the last two years due to stubbornness and his lack of ability to adapt.
 
I wouldn't say Liverpool were toothless De Gea was easily MOTM for United again, I'd get him signed up on a 10yr contract if I was Van Gaal before Barcelona/Real Madrid come sniffing.
 
Nice to beat liverpool but defense still lot to be desired and keeping possession was terrible. If United face a team that could finish and play like that they would get hammered
 
Liverpool players looked very much like Utd did in the same fixture from last season. Devoid of confidence and drive. Too many waving their arms around in frustration if it doesn't go their way
 
DAT defence and finishing, sounds like the second half went the same as the first.

Gg the respectable manu fans, clinical finishing from what I saw

I still don't see how Liverpool fans can deny that Rodgers has always been average and tactically pants. That suarez carried him and now without him it's clear he isn't good enough.
 
Crap performance all round, gerrard pointless debate for me he is a legend however has gone to a player I barely want in the side atm, it isn't just him though all seem out of ideas and completly lost, Rodgers has lost it now no idea if he even knows what to do him self anymore. Jones less said the better one thing is sure I doubt mignolet be dropped ever again after that performance by jones

It's mostly that his buying has been terrible, the best players at Liverpool last year were two people he didn't buy. The additions he's been making have mostly been terrible and well below the quality he should have gotten not least considering the money involved in most of the bad deals.

Lovrens was much better with other teams, Skrtel used to be better than he is now, rinse repeat for every defender. It's likely going to be a situation where he's been so bad in such a bad defence since he joined that you end up with the next manager selling him straight away or just being unable to get any form back with the player completely shot of any confidence.

However I would think a half decent manager who can coach a defence at all(unlike Rodgers) would have all the defence playing better, Lovrens included. How much he could improve is questionable but a huge amount of how bad he's playing is how bad the defence he's playing in is.
