Yes, it was similar to our other recent performances.
Not at all helped by a changing defence every game, it doesn't take much to rock the confidence of our defenders. However, our quality strikers are doing their job, being clinical and taking chances when we get them.
When we get all our injured players back (without losing too many others first), we should look in pretty good shape, but we'll need a higher quality of defender to start thinking about a title challenge. I think Rojo/Jones and maybe even Smalling could perform well alongside a world class defender. Evans was reasonably good at one time but he looks very poor lately.
We had very little pace in the team aside from Wilson (who is quick but not what I'd call super fast), with Di Maria on the counter we could have done a lot more damage to Liverpool. Blind would have helped keep the ball too.
I'm also not particularly impressed that Liverpool had so much of the ball either, they didn't play a striker and packed out the midfield, we tried to keep to a more offensive formation a lot of the time.
Great result though, a loss here would have been a setback. And you can see, defensive frailties aside, the team are working very hard for each other and the manager and we didn't get any of that under Moyes.
A long way to go though. It'd be nice if we could get a player or two in January to really solidify our top four position.
