Guardiola feeling another bout of depression/homesickness coming on, will he make it to the end of the season? ;)

After last few games not remotely confident about our chances this afternoon. I fear whilst we need Hendon and matip back they will be rushed in if not a lucas starts he will be over ran. If can keeps up his dire performances then we is stuffed

Matip not in the squad as theres questions over his international clearance. What absolute nonsense that is.

I mean at first glance they didn't call him up so it's absurd, but if they only called him up because he'd refuse, but they wanted to call him up it's a bit less obvious.

That is by the current rules, which personally I think are an absolute joke. In what world can you be suspended from your job because another company calls up and says hey, we have the right to use him for a while and he has no choice in the matter?

I can't understand in any way how international games can be somehow forced on a player, in what way is it not effectively slavery. How can you be punished for not wanting to play with a team you don't want to play for and never signed a contract to play for? It should be 100% up to the player if he wants to play for an international team he qualifies for.

Matip has not played for them for nearly 2 years! He said he retured from international football two years ago.

Its poor from all parties, why is it an issue today? Why havent we donr anything about it?

I agree, you cannot force someone to do something they dont want to do.

3-0! City guff, nice goal from Davies.

He's really impressed me whenever i've seen him play for Everton, a bit naive at times but obviously only young. Hope Schneiderlen doesn't take his place.

lol @ the David Nugent style attempted goal steal from Lukaku :p

Hope to god Lukaku didn't touch that, if he did, bit of a ****.

His work getting the first goal was great, saw the pass intercepted, rather than being a ***** he burst forward and made a brilliant pass. Been good all game and gets his goal, hopefully.

Scheirderlen is going to replace Barry longer term, maybe in rotation for a while between all of them.

To be fair with Lukaku, it's drilled into strikers to make sure the ball is blasted across the line as there can always be someone coming in behind you to clear the ball. But you'd hope he looked around and realise it was safe then leave it.

You can't blame him to try and nick it, a goal is a goal and he has to make sure.

Seems to me he went for it and couldn't reach it, doubt in the heat of the moment he would think about anything other than making sure it's a goal.

Lack of squad depth showing today. Huge challenge for Alexander Arnold to come into a game like this even if we were at full strength. Really need our midfield to control the game today because that back 5 terrifies me.
