Celebratory smoke on rvp s goal. And a response to Loki's post if he thinks we have been good here today. Abs when I say good I meant it as a team with £60 million up front. 43 million in midfield and 66 millions worth of players in defence.

You don't half talk ****.

It's been a bloody awful game to watch from the first whistle. How do you stop a direct team like Stoke playing THEIR game ???? Very simple, keep the posession, quieten down their partisan home support and play the game at your pace............................oh wait I think that's 3 boxes ticked.

Oh but if were talking about tactics, how about the little, dont mark tight and stand a few yards off and pick up the majority of 2nd balls.

4 Boxes ticked, do I need to go on ????

We've done well from the perspective that we are winning.

That doesn't make it a good or creditable performance in terms of how we have played, today and for the last x number of matches now.

There's such a thing as being less than the sum of its parts and that is exactly how id describe utd on current performance.

Excellent, welcome to your own fanclub of 1

It does make it a credible performance. 2-0 away from home against a team like Stoke is more than credible. But hey lets use the straw man of we have £60m up front. 3 more results and performances like this and were Champions. doesn't matter if Citeh play till July

united have been lackustre recently but i will concede to the fact that a game against stoke is never ever going to be an enjoyable experience. the sooner they're out of the pl the better. every team in the league gives a better game.

So you tell me, are we at our best today? Has it been a typical man utd performance? And by that I don't meant the sterolysed strangled performances that we've become accustomed to this and last season.

How many games since we beat a big team in any competition? Its concerning to say the least.

Please show me where I said we were at our fluid best ??? Happy to concede the point if I did say that.

Whats a 'typical' United performance anyway ? because at the start of the season it was you score 2 and we'll score 3.

Unpleasant on the eye, tactically absolutely spot on. How much play could Stoke build from the likes of Walters ??? None. They did nothing wide and as such didnt get the corners they rely on. Defend deep and then get Kagawa on the ball and play through them. Yeah RvP is off form along with Rooney but you don't go through the whole season bang on form in every game. Well you do but lets leave FIFA 13 and Championship manager out of this shall we.

2 moments of quality all game - Hernandez's pass to RVP and the move which lead to the pen... Hightlight of the game being the reaction/celebration to RVP's goal, we looked a lot more confident once that went in, hopefully we can push on from here. Wednesday night should be a good entertaining game....
