Can someone tell me how Welback has made the last couple of England squads - awful first touch, passing, and incapable of getting into areas to score.
He had like 5 games in a row where he scored a few goals, nothing before, or since, so he's a genius. He's becoming a bit more physical and improved(he was embarassingly poor a couple years ago) but he's still rather poo.
Young was the best player on the pitch, again, Ferdy was very poor several times, positioning for the goal wasn't great and not long before that someone on the right had a shot, got played in behind, he ran after it but stopped before he got between ball and the goal, basically left the gap open to shoot, De Gea saved it well.
Nani, Welbeck, most of Rooney's contribution and Anderson were pretty awful, Fabio made quite a lot of mistakes.
Anderson good? No idea who thought that, a few decent passes but defensively was played around with ease, offensively didn't make a single "killer pass", or a good chip over the top, utterly uncreative and boring, thats ok if you're Makelele and mop everything up at the back, which he didn't do.
Cleverley played himself out of bad situations VERY well, but really didn't bomb forwards like Scholes would, to open up gaps in the defence. West Brom were pretty solid throughout, not enough of a goal threat and their equaliser, well, should have been saved.
Not a great performance, not terrible, will Utd take a little while to adjust to a 4-4-2, is that going to be their main formation, who knows.
Dissappointing first weekend frankly, too many draws, not enough goals. Hoping for a really bad tempered and entertaining match tonight though.
