Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [13th March - 18th March 2015]

I assume that when teams put young players on for a few minutes at the end of a game the team should win they are just giving them experience. By this point United are not really putting much effort in so its hard to impress as a young lad for the last 15 minutes.

So much better. We actually played with speed and conviction in most things we did attacking. Lukaku was superb again today.

Bring on Thursday!

So you want an in-experienced player to come on when there is still a chance of a come -back?

Im sure you didn't mean that - but while I like Pereira and he deserves a chance, its a hard call to make given how crucial every point is now

Good to see Utd capitalising on a shoddy Spurs performance, they simply didn't turn up.

Ironic that our best performance (greatly helped by Spurs) was without RVP, Falcao and Di Maria?

Part of me wants to say that most of it was down to Spurs being crap but in the past we have still struggled, at least there was some energy about the team today. Still **** at the back though. I'm calling Smalling donkey-boy from now on. Eee-ooor.

I think that's a little discrediting Utd's work rate and plan, but it was certainly a bit of both as the panel on sky suggested after the game.

Not surprised at all that it worked without Falcao, RvP and Di Maria though - its just a question whether LvG thinks he HAS to re-instate Di Maria now his ban has expired for the next crucial match , vs Liverpool (personally I would leave him out again, but I don't think LvG will do that)

The defence looked far more assured today.
