Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [13th March - 18th March 2015]

Another great team goal built around flicks from Giroud. Its a depleted West Ham team, but all 3 goals they've just been outclassed.

With our full team those chances wouldn't (shouldn't) have happened. Missed Kouyate in midfield badly and Reid and at centre half.

Arsenal fluked it at our ground, we should have won that but today we just have no options.

Well 3-0 more than flatters Arsenal. Was a decent game to watch, especially 2nd half.

Going to disagree, I think 3-0 was at least deserved, it could have been twice that. I could be bias as I'm a gooner, but aside from the save Nolan forced from Ospina I can't remember any clear cut West Ham chances.

Just a bit. ;)

Never a 3-0 win game. We had a few chances but never got them on target.

West Ham have taken a nose dive, down to 10th.

QPR, Everton, West Ham, Swansea and Burnley are all looking like winnable games now but it's still a very difficult run in. The 6 point gap between us and the bottom three is much appreciated though!

Some really nice goals by Arsenal today. Can they push on and challenge City?

I doubt Burnley will do us any favours.

We've won the last 5 league games now but keeping that run up is... unlikely, although it'd be nice to avoid any more defeats. Any hope of us getting 2nd requires City having some sort of meltdown for most of their last 10 games which doesn't seem realistic. Not looked at the remaining fixtures though but at this point in the season every game can be a right old scrap.

9 wins in their first 17 games of the season, a single win in the past 12 games. 31 points in 17 games, 8 points in the past 12. West Ham have gone completely to **** since xmas. The only game they won was at home to a truly dreadful Hull. They've put in a couple of decent performances in that run but plenty of awful ones. defensively today and against Palace in particular they let people in between the two cb's so easily.

End of season. But its riduculous to do that.

I'm not completely convinced by Pellegrini though I like him. The club is just struggling with too many bad buys. After years of big spending they still have not a single genuine higher quality winger in the entire team. Navas is the closest they have and he's always been a SWP/Lennon player, all speed, not much quality. Overpriced, overpaid and not the level they need but even then a club spending what they spend attempting to compete at the level they want to compete they should have 3 if not 4 top wide players with pace and quality, Navas would be an acceptable(at a cheaper price) third or fourth such player.

Big spending every year but on the wrong players. Somehow in the past maybe 4 years they haven't really strengthened any of their biggest weaknesses. No new top notch CB, no top notch CM who will help defensively but be good going forward and can cover for when Toure is out(or having one of his many lazy games), no true wingers.
