Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [13th May 2018]

New players, and hope they can do what Mourinho wants them to do...

Talk of 6 coming in potentially. I think we need at least that many.

United need 6!!? If you have a load leave then sure but look at your squad....i think 6 is excessive personally. New cb and midfielder is about all id add personally.

i stand by what i said, the Arsenal invincibles shades it as a better team then city.

Look how hard it is to go a season unbeaten. barcelona failed to do that last night

Considering they rested Messi and defended like a team already thinking of the WC, no one really seemed arsed. If they wanted to stay unbeaten they could have done it easily.

Also, winning 18 in a row or staying unbeaten...I think the former is much harder to accomplish and I doubt will ever be beaten.

Pope would be my choice, he's been solid this season and doesn't seem to make mistakes.

Southgate being Southgate will probably take Hart over Pope for 3rd choice even though he should be starting.

The best the mg about Pope is he is used to playing in a defensive team, being alert and facing shots regularly. Let's be honest we'll be up against if we reach last 16 so we need a keeper like that.

I agree with the sentiment about Shelvey and have said so before, he's one of the few midfield players England have that can pick a killer pass and creativity is our main problem. He'd be in the squad for me.

Same here, I said exactly the same thing in a thread a while back. He's always looking to split open a defence put someone like Vardy in front of him making runs in behind and we might score a fair few goals.

Pickford didn't do himself any favours, he's had a fairly solid season (as solid as you can playing in **** team) but yesterday was a bit of a horror show. I think I'd still play him ahead of Hart though just for the experience, see how he goes in the first game or two.

Well the fact that Arsenal done it without losing a single game on a budget of about a fiver compared to city who spent half a billion, speaks volumes.

I think even United treble winning team with neville, becks and co is better then this lot.

I really do rate Shelvey as a player, but if I were a manager I wouldn't want him anywhere near my squad. I know his discipline is getting better, but he will never lose the ability to just snap and do something stupid.

It's a real shame.
