Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [14th - 17th Jan 2012]

Credit to Swansea today, they've worked harder than us, been more up for it than us, and took their gift-wrapped chances better, but our performance over 90mins has been shocking. Not up for it, useless passing, stepping out of tackles, suicidal defending. All the midfielders have been useless and given RVP 0 service bar the first goal.

It's games like this when you want to put your foot through the screen. Did so well to get back up the table then they play like this again. RAGE.

FT: Swansea 3-2 Arsenal (Sinclair (pen) 16, Dyer 57, Graham 70 - Van Persie 5, Walcott 69)

Great win and thanks for the favour. :D

ive said it once ill say it again Szcesny is a walking mistake, What was he doing for swanseas winner?

Well played Swansea smashing performance

Well done Swansea, completely bossed us the whole game...deserved to win that.

Unbelievable that we have lost to Fulham and now Swansea...2 teams that we should battered to hell and back.

Well done Arsenal...****ing joke of a team you have become.

Wenger out FFS, this is a manager who feels that we dont need to fix our defence but to everyone around him and fans it needs to be fixed soon-ish:mad:

Top 4 my hairy arse...if we cant beat teams like Swansea then we dont belong in the top 4....

At least one things consistent...we have started the new year exactly how we started the new season:p...losing to teams that we shouldnt and this is why we will never win trophies due to our stupidity and lack of killer touch.

Wenger saying Henry could have started, he barely moved when he was on and most worryingly, when he did get the ball he didn't remotely look like he wanted it, rather than get a touch which releases him beyond a player, he was more or less randomly knocking it into midfield from the wing hoping someone was there.

Yes, Walcott got the goal, but other than that was abysmal again, Song, useless, Djourou, useless, Kos, partially responsible for the last goal, both he and the keeper thought the other was going for it and backed away. MIquel might be good as a CB but just not good enough at fullback. Again it comes down to could Wenger predict that Gibbs wasn't going to ever be fit and that Verm who has probably missed around 50% of all games he's been available for....... wouldn't be fit long term, if he could predict it, why not bring in a first team left back replacement, get rid of Gibbs and not buy someone in the dying seconds of the window with limited choice.

I'd have taken Baines only instead of spending on Gervinho and Santos who are both crap.

Rosicky, still sucking a decent wage out of the club while either being injured or useless. Benny..... another absolutely pointless performance from him. He's not fast, he's weak, he's not particularly good at any part of his game, but he's on a big wage, so wooo.

Oh, anyone else think AOC would do pretty good as a fullback for the time being. he has that knack of getting the ball, he's got pace, he's very strong for his size, he reads the game very well, he can tackle a bit. Frankly he certainly can't be worse than what we have now, and considering Wenger will start Walcott no matter how **** he is, its a way for AOC to stay match fit and get games.

Well played Swansea. Great passing and movement and pressed us all game. Deserved win.

Miquel looked shakey all game and out of his depth. Tough game for him. We will regroup and when some of our experienced players return from injury (Arteta, Wilshere, Vermaelen, Sagna) we'll get back on track.

If I was Wenger I'd be throwing some boots at the players. They've shown they're capable of much better by getting themselves out of the mess of the start of the season, but they lost their heads today: pressing from other games was absent, patience was absent, link up play was absent, concentration was absent.

I know they have no proper full backs at the moment and we've not had Wilshere at all yet this season but this should never have been a stupidly open end to end game given the players we have available. Not enough pace all over the pitch. If you want to play the headless chicken game you need legs. We were more like a headless, legless chicken.

Is there any other team capable of self-pwning as much as Arsenal? I can't think of any. Liverpool can be completely **** and wind up their fans no end, but at least they can defend and the bore draw is the bad result rather than comical losses.

Miquel and Ramsey worked hard but were rubbish, RVP got crowded out and had no service most of the game... other than that pretty much everyone else can't take any credit and should be embarrassed. Wenger should have done what Mourihno did last night when they were losing to Mallorca, made all his changes early in the 2nd half, plan B it. Sadly he's like Daglish and is rubbish at making subs. :(

Really good game today enjoyed it a lot! Swansea were excellent and Arsenal barely deserved one of their goals let alone Walcott's equaliser.

Ramsey put in probably the worst performance I've seen from any player this season, absolutely awful he was today.
