Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [14th - 18th February 2020]

What was particularly good about the Invincible season was that Wenger called it a few years before, and was ridiculed for it.

Edit: And what is impressive about Liverpool this year is, they performed so well last year and just missed out, and then raised their game to a whole different level, made what the other teams do irrelevant.

100 point season. I thought covered that in my previous post. As I said, Liverpool could be now be on for back to back titles had it not been for City picking up 98 points last season and City could be on for 3 titles in a row if it wasn't for us. If Liverpool weren't so good does that change how great this City side is and vice versa?

of course you say that because deep down you realize just how difficult it is to win three in a row. Man Utd won 1999-2000 with 91 points and 97 goals but it wasn't a better premier league season as the previous when we won the treble.

having an absolute fabulous season where all the stars align is one thing. Doing it consistently for 3 or more seasons is another.

Aguero onside and clear penalty, referee and lino gave it offside and played on and VAR did nothing, it's terrible how VAR can just ignore and avoid reviewing incidents when it suits, it's getting like F1 with decisions made "for the greater entertainment" and in the interest of keeping people watching.
