Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [14th - 18th February 2020]

Talk to any cardiff fan and see what they have to say about him. From what I have heard, his time at United has mirrored his time at Cardiff really well.

Out of interest, where would we need to be for you to think Ole wasn't doing the best that could be expected with this squad.

Summer transfer and all our first team back fit. Then I will judge him. Say by mid October.

We have been lucky with decisions so far. Maguire should be off and that was not really a dive. I hate to see players do what Willian did there but he did have to vault Fernandes' leg.

Anthony Talyor's not having the best of times, again. VAR couldn't have done anything about the yellow for Willian but I can only think that they didn't send Maguire off because they felt bad for Taylor having decisions overturned every single week.

I understand that but we are not in that position currently with squad depth.

But as fez said, with the exception of Rashford carrying the team, we've not looked great at all generally.

I think results would likely be a lot better if Pogba and Rashford were added to the current team though.

Doesn't change the fact I haven't seen much good from Solskjaer.

Results would be better with those two in the team but it would be a case of a couple of top class players covering up the complete lack of coaching and any sort of plan. I could coach this full strength United team to a better position that we are in currently but that wouldn't make me a top manager. I seriously can't imagine what would give some fans pause for thought when it comes to Ole. We could be in the relegation zone and we would still have the apologists telling us that we are missing player X, the team is crap from top to bottom, he just needs time. Give him 5 years and 500m and he will have us competing for top 4.

Jesus, Wan-Bissaka actually putting an offensive ball in... isn't that a sign the apocalypse is about to happen?

They need to explain how Maguire gets away with that tbh.

If Rashford is "carrying" your team then lol.

I mean, he is joint 4th top goal scorer along with Mo Salah with a better minutes per goal return than him. Oh and hes playing in this United team, not Liverpools side that is running away with the league. Keep the trolling going though ;)

He was top goal scorer when he got injured no?Also before injury Rashford, Martial and James had most goals out of any front three. Rashford was more than just himself. He gave Martial the opertunities to do what does coming off the left and James to do what he can down the right.

That was a great header.

Be interesting to see if Chelsea can respond.

Came close sat the end of the half.

It's the sign of player being managed and slowly improving his forward game after coming from palace. After all AWB is just a fantastic defender and can't do anything going forward.

Fred Rashford and McTominay have drastically improved since this season. Martial has improved as well. Williams and Mason Greenwood have started to break into the team. He has done some good things.

Martial hasn't improved. He is as inconsistent as ever. Fred has got better through a run of games and its hard to say if he got that because of a complete lack of other options in the middle. Rashford hasn't improved any more than he was naturally doing already and McTominay again was improving before Ole took charge. Williams and Greenwood have got their chances partly because we have come into this season without enough players.

I don't dispute that Ole has done some good things. The problem is that none of them are related to how we set up, play or organise ourselves. I could sell players that are disruptive, don't want to be there or don't fit with the team. Hes essentially done all the things that don't require you to be a top manager.

Not sure but I imagine he was around about there. A top striker will always make it easier for those around them simply by taking more of the oppositions attention away.
