Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [14th - 19th October 2011]

I think if you look at the quality of player Arsenal had when they were winning and even a couple of years ago and compare it to now there is a huge drop off.

RVP aside as he has just shown again.

I also think the poorer players were made to look better then they were by the good players.

Real shame about Arsenal, they have nobody to blame but the manager.

Great free kick!
Van Persie's celebration was so awkward. Takes his shirt off and then realises he can't throw it into the crowd as the game hasn't finished so he awkwardly celebrates with it in his hand. :p

I think people would like to see City write off a huge amount of cash on Tevez just cos its City. I guess i fall into that category.

I was pleased when City signed him because i thought he was a loathsome character. I was also surprised at the amount of goals he scored. Ultimately i think my original assessment has been correct though!

It does raise the interesting question of how you actually punish a footballer though. If City cut their losses he simply moves on to an equally huge contract and ultimately gets what he wanted in the first place. That cant be right.

I don't think its really the cash anyone cares about, its honestly down the side of the sofa kinda money in the big scheme of things. I think more people want us to get rid of one of the best strikers in the league. Even despite him being a whopping spoon, a City team with Tevez is stronger than a City team without. Unless of course he refuses to come on :p

In a squad where team spirit is constantly questioned i would say you gain more by punting Tevez off the pitch than you lose by him not being there on it.

Yup quite possibly. I suppose our scoring record in these first 8 games goes some way in proving my point irrelevant anyway.
