LvG has been lucky in a number of ways. When you consider how **** we have been and how lucky he is that DDG didn't leave last season, Martial has benen great and Rashford has been great. Without those 3 pieces of good fortune we would be mid table at best. He can take almost 0 credit for anything positive that has happened in the past 2 season.

I always feel sorry for DDG. If he isn't conceding goals due to **** defending he is watching the **** show unfold in front of him for 90 minutes. He doesn't get to turn the tv off

To be fair Navas has looked pretty good for Real Madrid this season (I would still take DDG of course, but it might not have made that much difference)

Fellaini ruining god knows how many games, Shaw being out for majority of the season, Memphis being completely invisible in the EPL, not to mention majority of the defence and attack being injured all at one time

We had just as much bad luck as we had good imo

That was the same thing that the media were slating us for in the winter - winning 1 or 2 - 0 but with 0 shots on target (and 0 shots on target in 1st half even though we were leading the game)
