Agger has hit a patch of poor form as well to be fair. It's just bad timing for Liverpool I think, or maybe they just implode under the pressure as soon as the team starts nearing the top 4.

He's short of confidence but more importantly he doesn't suit this style of football and hasn't been able to adapt to it.

Our system will eventually rely on two quick CB's who are comfortable on the ball and able to pass out from the back. This will allow us to play a higher line and put more pressure on opposing teams much like Barcelona do.
 
:D I'd hate to be a Liverpool fan... First 40 mins was out best of the season and Liverpool had exactly nothing.

Getting Alan off helped but Gerrard surprised us by being so poor his only involvement was that shot on 75 mins.

Suarez booked rightly for running up to Boric and trying to make love to him whilst he was about to take a keepers kick from his hand. Icing on the cake from a great performance!

I think the style of play comment is an easy excuse. For around a year prior to this season was the only consistent spell Skrtel's had since he signed. The rest of the time, he's either very good or very bad. I agree he looks short of confidence but he's been hit and miss all season.

I'd also be worried about trying to replicate Barca too much. They can do what they do because they've got a front 6 that keep the ball better than any side in the last 20 odd years. It doesn't matter how quick your CB's are if you're being broke against as much as we are. Without the ball retention of a Barca, we have to make compromises to how we line-up.
 
Following on from your Barca point BaZ they can afford to pass it out the back as they have the quality to punish you if you press with 4 into their box, we do not so it makes it way easier to apply pressure, doesn't matter how well we can pass it, Barca's defence couldn't pass it out the back under the pressure we face
