I wouldn't say we make any more mistakes when passing the ball out of defense than Barca do tbh. Our biggest issue is when we lose possession in midfield/attack; any side that presses us in midfield are usually in with a chance of a counter attack as our fullbacks are pushed on and often 5 of our front 6 are ahead of the ball too.

We were having this problem at the start of the season until we switched to playing 2 of our 3 midfielders in deeper roles and/or had Henderson playing tucked in on the left. The last 3 games Rodgers has gone back to what he was trying at the start of the season. If you play well, as we did vs Wigan, it's great but if you're not on top of your game, you leave yourself exposed to being overrun in midfield as we were in spells against Spurs (until Allen came on) and as we were nearly all game today.
 
Pedestrian first half, would like to see Kagawa on for someone to offer us something a bit different. The attack in general has been pretty poor.

I know I asked for a boring win but this is silly :p
 
Did Van Persie come out for the second half? He's a complete passenger. At least Rooney is getting the ball and trying to make things happen.

Is it possible that Van Persie is tired because he usually has his one/two month break while he's injured? :p
