We looked much better when we relaxed a little bit and Welbeck got closer to RvP.
Good start for Liverpool and United, let's see if Chelsea and City can come out fighting, the less said about Arsenal the better, sending off or not they really shouldn't be losing to Villa at home by 2 clear goals.

His misses haven't stopped him before and Pulis seemed to think he'll be up for taking them in the future too.

Very good day for Liverpool with Arsenal losing and Everton drawing, Spurs defeat would top it off nicely. Can't say City's, Chelsea's or your results mean a lot to me because they won't have much, if any, bearing on our season or league position.
They hung on a bit though from what I saw, the Coutinho lad looks a bargain.
I still think Sturridge is arse.

He's been far better than I expected him to be and if he continues to score I'll ignore his selfish side but it does annoy the **** out of me.
Hate it when there's a through ball or easy pass he could make but he holds on to the ball until he knows he'll be able to get in to a position to receive the pass back in a scoring position himself.

I actually love him!
You can't really judge him on today's performance. He only started training 2 weeks ago and had just 45 mins in pre-season (although he played in a behind closed doors game midweek).
As for him generally; he's got bags of ability. I was genuinely surprised at just how much to his game he's got. I initially thought he would come in and play as a wide forward but he's played through the middle and looks the complete striker. He's as big and strong as they come and surprisingly can lead the line really well - he's got a great touch and can bring players into the game and he's always looked like he can create things.
My big concern with him though is his mentality. Against City and Chelsea, where he looked like he had a point to prove, he was fantastic; the City game in particular he absolutely bossed City's defense. There's been other games where I've wondered just how interested he was - although I'm comparing him to somebody like Suarez who plays at 100% every minute of every game so maybe I'm being unfair to him.
Well, assuming we don't sign anyone of note, I'd rather have him as backup on the bench than flog him to Chelsea for £25m.
I'd rather we got rid if possible.
