Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [16th - 20th August 2014]-LvGOUT!

True, but unfortunately it's the results that count. I think Van Gaal is a good manager but whether it's him or the board that is the problem when it comes to transfer it's hard to tell.

Possibly board nearly every summer utd claim a large amount of money to spend yet you barely touch it like arsenal really the debt utd have may have more of an impact than people realise

Terrible start to the season for United, beaten by Swansea..

Desperately need an experienced CB and a partner for Herrera.

Nearly 2 minutes on top of added 4, at least Van Gaal has Fergie time sorted, now they just need to learn to score in it

*sigh*

With defending like that I'm not sure what we expected. Taking Herrera off was an absolutely abysmal decision, after that we lost our attacking impetus as well.

Swansea were much better in defence and whilst they had less of the ball, took their chances better.

I'm hoping this pushes the ongoing transfers over the line - I see this match as a huge, stark warning.

All this talk about 'intentional' hand ball is all *******, when is it ever intentional? When a player full on dives for the ball, or pats it away. Other than that how often do you see a hand ball given by a lad who has jumped and his arm is in the air, or a cross comes in and hits a hand that's outstretched, they aren't intending to handle the ball, but they do, and it's given.

'Intentional' - what a load of old cobblers.
