Right now it's

Sunderland 37 -20 GD
Newcastle 36 -25 GD
Hull 34 -18 GD

Sunderland have a game in hand but Arsenal and Chelsea to play so..... not hugely likely. Hull would need to beat Utd still to have a chance or get at least two goals against Spurs, then may only need a point at Utd due to the GD.
 
Bayern lost again, 5 out of the last 6 games and they only won against barca because they knew it was game over so completely backed off in that second half. 3 in a row in the league, german cup, first game against Barca, gifted the second leg win because Barca didn't need it and had Atletico Madrid potential title deciding game coming up.

Guardiola to City?

Did any of those league games have any consequence though (title already secured)?

cup and CL certainly did, regardless of importance of league games, throwing them away for no reason isn't something that makes bosses or fans happy. After being dominated 2 years in a row at the really important stage they'll be losing faith. You don't exactly want to go into a crucial CL tie having lost multiple recent games.

He also caused the medical staff to leave, blaming was it the first Porto leg or the Leverkusen loss on the medical staff. A 70+ year old guy who had worked for them for... ever maybe.

He's buying pretty poorly with Thiago being ineffective, Alonso being useless, pushing the worlds best left back into midfield, not using Gotze all that much after the club dropped a massive amount of cash.

Most importantly Bayern just are far less exciting to watch and playing far less good football. He took over what was comfortably the best team in europe and that they aren't as good is blindingly obvious now.
 
He has blown his chance with us. If he didn't set up in such a cowardly way it was his best chance to prove what he said once we move and have a few quid to spend.

Cowardly formation to start this ganme when it was screaming out for the diamond.

It's still not great for a team like that to lose that many games in a row. You can say you have more important games coming up but I can't imagine losing 5 games in a row going into a game you need 3 goals in to force ET would have done their confidence wonders.
