Crickey! Coutinho has scored 8 goals already this season. Who knows how many he might go on to get! I know this is Gerrards last game but the commentators need to stop being quite so biased.

Tackle was even more obviously a penalty, step on someone's foot it will usually trip them up. He was late, missed the ball, tripped the player, clear pen and wouldn't have been soft at all.

The handball was funny, weird/awkward arm he certainly moved towards the ball, though it hit him on his hand really rather than the outstretched arm so would have hit him in the side anyway. Seemed pretty clear he stuck his arm out to block it though, so the intent was there, just got lucky with where it hit him on the arm.

I would have said it was the other way around myself. The handball was cynical and regardless of where it might have hit him had he not moved his hand/arm towards the ball, he did attempt and succeed to block the ball with his hand.

The tackle was a bit soft. It wasn't that much contact and the ball had gone. The ref is not going to give a penalty at anfield and on Gerrards last game unless its a punch to the face.

A striker that can get at least 20 goals a season has to be a priority for us in the summer.

he doesn't get the plaudits he deserves. he's a very good buy for £7m

Exactly, the palace player hoofed out. Hardly going to give a pen for that, had he dinked it round him to set himself up for a shot - different story.
