Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [16th - 21st April 2016]

Can't see Martinez making it to next season, perhaps if they win the cup but even then I wouldn't call it nailed on. He would make a good assistant manager to work specifically on attacking play but the bloke has no concept on how to build a balanced team.

I'm a chimp and I called that even during his first season where he lucked into a well drilled balanced back four with a decent spine to the side. He assembles a side like I buy players in Fifa. What happened to that forward he spent 13.5m on?

pffft I called him a fraud well before you. :p :D

I don't think kenwright has the backbone to get rid of this clown. Hoping our new investor clamps down, Martinez has to go, simple.

Rooney again managing to do practically nothing all game.

How can you say that and not mention lingard?

We've had a few wins over Everton over the years and at least on paper, against far worse Everton sides but I can't remember one as easy as that. A couple of years ago we won 4-0 but we were an incredible side that season and put in 1 of our best performances of the season. We didn't even play well today and even if you only look at the first 50 minutes, the scoreline flattered Everton. Had we needed to we could have score 7 or 8 today - that was an Everton side that looked completely shot for confidence and had just given up.

**** mori, will have a grin on my face if his leg snaps.

**** those fans in the early minutes

Good job Liverpool, Sturridge needs to chill a bit

he really does, turning into a petulant little kid

What happened? He was laughing and joking during his post-match interview.

He's always been a bit of a sulker though. Back in 13/14 I used to feel sorry for him being the 1 getting subbed off all the time but after the 2 years since then it's fairly understandable.
