Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [16th - 21st April 2016]

What happened? He was laughing and joking during his post-match interview.

He's always been a bit of a sulker though. Back in 13/14 I used to feel sorry for him being the 1 getting subbed off all the time but after the 2 years since then it's fairly understandable.

He was trying to claim the Coutinho goal for himself because the ball brushed the tip of his shorts on the way through lol

I don't see it like that, he was getting sulky over suggestions that it might not be his goal, hardly celebrates with other if anyone other than him scores too

He wasn't at all sulky in the interview lol, he's taking the ****

During the game though he was a bit keen for it to be his lol (went and celebrated with Phil too)

Also yeah he does

Did you turn off the interview before he burst out laughing about it?

Was obviously joking about it being his goal.

Why is he a petulant child?

Think you've only seen select moments Rotty as from what I witnessed he was making a joke of it.

He does sulk though if things don't go his way but to be fair to the lad his career has been plagued by injury and he just wants to be out there scoring every game like any other striker.

Soo plenty of seats available at the Emirates tonight for our game against WBA lol. Guess it's taken this long for the fans to finally start voting with their wallets. Not that it will do much but it's a start. Time to hit the board where it hurts them the most ie profits. For far too long we, supporters of Arsenal have been mugged off with our yearly title challenge collapse.

Said a lot that half the stadium was empty when we drew against lowly Palace and were booed off lol.

Does attendance actually matter any more? All big clubs have so many other (more profitable) revenue streams, the actual bums on seats are a minimal concern

Obviously this is terrible for every fan, and the board will always prefer to have a full stadium, but for the odd game or three - Im not sure whether anyone in the board (or majority of the club for that matter) really care.

It goes without saying Im sure every (home) player would prefer a full stadium

Didn't look like he was joking to me, it looked that the grin at end was fake as he was getting wound up by questions

I'm pretty sure he was playing around. As I said earlier though, he's always been a sulker on the pitch when he gets subbed off or somebody doesn't pass to him. It doesn't really concern me because it's never effected his performance.

It was hardly half empty! Didn't look like that many empty seats at all really. All the available seats tonight are from season ticket holders not going and putting them up for sale. Doesn't affect Arsenal at all.

Christ, as if we haven't had enough celebrity deaths already, now Ramsays back starting.

:D I don't know how he does it, gets injured then doesn't play for some time. Soon as he gets fit he's back in the squad at the expense of other better players even though he is utter ****

It's dumb selections like this that I'm fed up of. Wenger is evidently still hoping that he comes good but I really cannot see it.

Another draw likely or loss tonight. Title has gone, now the fight is for 4th place lol. As we are not going to finish above Spurs at the very least, how embarrassing

He has more bad games than good, gives the ball away far too often and gets bullied off the ball too easy.

Do you expect him to be scoring 15+ goals a season from the centre of midfield? Because if that's what youre expecting, he's playing a lot deeper than previously. Pass percentage is 85%...pretty good for a player asked to take risks with his passing. I fear he might be sold in the summer, i really hope he stays though.

We've had a few wins over Everton over the years and at least on paper, against far worse Everton sides but I can't remember one as easy as that. A couple of years ago we won 4-0 but we were an incredible side that season and put in 1 of our best performances of the season. We didn't even play well today and even if you only look at the first 50 minutes, the scoreline flattered Everton. Had we needed to we could have score 7 or 8 today - that was an Everton side that looked completely shot for confidence and had just given up.

Indeed is it any wonder we want him gone. Scathing stats on him on the beeb...

The draw with Southampton meant this has been the worst season at Goodison Park in the club's 138-year history.

In Moyes' past two seasons at Everton he won 22 games and lost seven at home while in Martinez's last two - with two games still to be played - they have won 11 and lost 13.

As I said he's got a excellent little bunch of players and he's destroyed the side, in balance, ability and confidence. no doubt he will see getting all that money for Barkley, Lukaku and Stones as proof he's done something right. Where in reality he's going to lead to the biggest dismantling of talent at the club since 88.

Winning the FA cup, I still wouldn't want him. That's not even a measure of success anymore with the big clubs having little interest unless they have to. I wouldn't be surprised to see Moyes back next year for a short spell. Where have all those people gone that proclaimed him as being proof Moyes was doing a bad job at Everton? All those people who kept posting links to happy players and look how good training is. it would seem there was a reason moyes drilled them so heavily. I would rather have Walter Smith back.
