The fawning over Rooney is back to it's disgusting worst.

He's got 4 assists so he must be doing something right. Yeah, probably 3 came from corners and at least one was that woeful woeful shot that went up in the air and Ibra buried. Just getting assists but being diabolically awful for the rest of those games doesn't mean he's doing well.

Then they were banging on about a great first touch, he was running in a straight line and the long ball he controlled far too wide, he had to stop and stretch to get it which prevented him running in behind. Had he had such a great first touch he was beyond the fullback and running into the box. It's just embarrassing.

It's no surprise United's results have turned around since Herrera and Carrick have been getting games, both very tidy players.
