Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [17 - 19th November 2012]

Well to be fair thats completely different to cheering about an injury

Alonso/Vettel are most likely going to be at the next race fully fit.

Ah yes, wishing two F1 Cars going at an incredibly fast speed would crash into each other is certainly most likely for both drivers to be at the next race fully fit.

Not that people have had serious accidents in F1 or anything...

A football injury isn't likely to kill you, F1 has quite a bigger chance of that.

Not sure how this loss could be blamed on AvB, it's not as if he would have instructed Ade to get sent off which ruined the game for Spurs.

Is it? Crashing at 200mph could cause anything between a bruise and a fatality but it's fine for people to want them to crash.. Ok.

Except the last fatality was 1994 and the last major crash (of which there are plenty) was a few weeks ago (with no one even hurt in that one).

So no, a fatality isnt that likely, and even the last crash that caused a major injury was still several years ago with Rubens Barrichello

Actually a f1 crash isnt likely to kill you at all, there are "serious" crashes nearly every race weekend

Our opening was excellent. Our second half has been strong. In between the sending off and the end of the first half was poor and when we lost the match. My only criticism was that avb failed to react quickly enough after ade was sent off. Overall he has done well though.

Right, but when 2 cars hit each other anything could happen. When you're running around a pitch you might pull a muscle or suffer from ligament damage and the like - when a machine like that is involved at such speeds you don't know what could happen. Someone could fly through the air and hit their head on the barrier killing them instantly.. There are so many unknowns in that it's impossible to speculate. Btw, Barrichello hasn't had a serious accident since 1994. I think you meant Massa in Hungary 2009.

That doesn't justify it, at all. Your behaviour's scummy and worthy of condemnation. You should be embarrassed.
Loads of people say things they don't mean in the heat of the moment. I said I hoped Torres breaks his leg when he moved to Chelsea which I felt bad about. I feel even worse now considering he's played every game for Chelsea as if he's got two broken legs :(

You're a curse you are :p

But you're right, I shouldn't have said it regardless. I didn't think the word "scum" was allowed though ;)

Noooo, had £10 on 4 - 2 :(

Who with? Some bookies will refund your bet if there's an injury time goal. They have funny stipulations for big games most of the time.

Sorry was meaning Massa being hit by Barrichello's rear suspension / spring which was the last serious injury in F1 in 2009

Phewww pretty happy with the win today, same as last yr 5-2 but todays game was more scrappier i thought.

Tbh i dont know what would have happened had Ade not been sent off, reckon Spurs would have beaten us.

But always entertaining these derby games.

3 pts bagged which is somewhat a relief.
